It runs more than I would like. And dehumidifies more than I like
Does ok. It runs more than I would like. And dehumidifies more than I like. I had to run the drain line into a top fill humidifier to put the humidity back. I use it in a room that is larger than recommended. But that is a basement room with two exterior walls. We didn't put radiant under that part of the basement. And we didn't insulate the exterior wall on that part of the house. Plus I insulated the crap out of the interior walls and ceiling. Before adding this unit the space stayed a consistent 65 fahrenheit all year round. I just needed something to bring the temp down an additional 10 degrees. 55 was the optimal temp for wine storage as well as for root veggies and home canned jars.

Poor Quality Wine Chiller, High Failure Rate...
It saddens me that this Brand and this Product are so Poor. I have today - Again purchased a New Unit from a different Brand. The Compressor on this unit failed in less than 1.5 years. Cellar Cool Honored the Warranty after much back and forth. The New Unit installed in early 2019, and the Compressor on the replaced unit failed. My Wine Room is designed Well, Insulated Well, Vapor Barriers to Spec, and Cooler Sized correctly. These Compressors are NOT overworked, they Just Fail. Do NOT buy this Brand Unit.

Terrible --stay away
Never worked, never cooled as it should. Had to throw it out despite every effort to get it to operate properly.

Poor product and equally poor customer service
The unit never cooled below 60 degrees. The customer service is horrible as it took them a week to respond to my inquiries. Consider a Breezaire product for slightly more dollars in my humble opinion.

Failed immediately after 2 year warranty period
Wow, what a piece of crap! This thing worked fine for 2 years, keeping my 45 SF well-insulated and sealed wine closet at a constant 56 degrees, which you would expect would be a simple task for a machine rated for up to 650 SF of space. Literally 2 years and a week after installing, the unit stopped cooling air. I contacted WhisperKool who sent me the names of a couple local service technicians. The one who was most helpful told me the unit most likely has a refrigerant leak. Recharging would run a few hundred bucks but if the unit has stopped cooling then it likely has a large leak and recharging is not a long term solution. With a large leak, I'd need to replace the coil which costs about $700. The repair technician says the thing should last 10 years, and the coil should be warranted for 5. I've only been using it for 2 years, so it's crazy that the coil would fail so soon. So I contact WhisperKool again to update them and learn the unit itself has a 2 year warranty, which I'm out of by a few weeks. The compressor is warranted for 5 years, but the coil, of course, is not part of the compressor. It's part of the "unit" so there's nothing they can do.I asked if they would just send the new coil and I'd cover the labor cost, but they won't budge. Their policy remains firm: we sell premium-priced wine coolers that should last 10 years but instead last just 2 because they are built with cheap components and backed by a worthless warranty. Is my experience unusual - 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 100? Buy a CellarCool and roll the dice to see!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I do not recommend CellarCool.
Purchased directly from manufacturer 11 months ago- sales team was very knowledgeable/ helpful. Built 8x8x8 wine room following Cellar Cool specs for insulation and mounting heights. Unit ran for 11 months never dropping down to set point of 55, lowest was 58.... then bam!! The cx3300 stopped cooling and ran continually WITHOUT SHOWING alarms. Took 4 phone attempts to customer service & 1 email before I was answered. Following their instructions, I monitored, documented temperatures for 24 hours, submitted pictures of install all to their specifications- only to have my WARRANTY DENIED. Reason given- a large diameter opening grate not restricting exhaust was hiding the rear of the unit because thats where drain line opening is located.
