YES this is the perfect travel solution
For those who are hooked on the original tempurpedic pillow, this is the same just travel size! My pictures show the original full size (maroon) and this travel size (gray). I’d say it’s about 60% of the original’s size. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. Composition-wise, it is exactly the same material and shape. Just not as wide. I was a little worried that my head would squish the edges and it wouldn’t be supportive in the same way but nope! It is GREAT. I can’t tell the difference when I’m lying on it. I slept the same, there were no issues or noticeable differences for actual use. I am so used to the support of the original tempurpedic pillow, I have taken the whole big thing with me on vacations, but now I can take this smaller one and save a ton of space, and not have to worry about lousy hotel pillows affecting my sleep and energy. This travel size one is going with me everywhere!

Five stars!
I love this travel pillow! I take it everywhere I go. No more dirty hotel pillows. It compresses nicely and comes with it's own travel bag.

When you can’t pack your full size pillow this one is an ok option
This pillow traveled to Australia with me. It packed up pretty small so was easy to toss in my suitcase. Granted it’s not exactly like a full size Tempurpedic pillow but it definitely saved my neck while traveling.

Good for its purpose, multiple thicknesses would be good
If you use a Tempur-Pedic neck pillow and travel where you can't take a full size one (e.g., fly on business or vacations), this is a must. My wife and I have been using these for several decades now and find them indispensable. There are 2 issues, however. 1. I use the thick version as my home pillow, and the travel pillow doesn't come in multiple thicknesses. My solution is to fold up a hand towel and shove it into the bottom of the pillowcase to add thickness. 2. Finding pillowcases ranges from challenging to impossible. We used to be able to find third party cases on line, but can't find them anymore. When our current ones die, we will need to make or have made custom ones.

Too hard
I like a solid pillow, but this one is way too hard.

Perfect for travel
I've had this travel pillow for plane trips for over ten years and I just bought a new replacement (not because there's actually anything wrong with the old one but just because the carry case was getting too worn out! I'm afraid the strap is going to break and the pillow will go rolling away somewhere). The old pillow itself is still going strong, although you cannot compare the firmness of the old and the new one I just received - the new one is very firm and the old one is very soft. I'm not sure which I prefer yet as I haven't used the new on on a plane yet so looking forward to breaking it in soon. The old one traveled everyone around the world with me, helping make sitting in airline seats just a little more bearable. I highly recommend it, based on years of experience. You just roll it up and I use a carabiner that I bought separately to attach it to my travel backpack, so it's always at the ready.I'm very happy to see that they are still making it, as sometimes you love something and you go to replace it and it's been discontinued. Glad I bought this one. Funny thing, I paid about the same price then as I did for the new one, so the price hasn't gone up over time. It was more of an investment back in the day, but today it's money well spent. I justified the original purchase to myself when I flew first class on the first leg of a flight but was downgraded to a coach seat on the return... and thought of how I was going to make the ride as comfortable as possible? I discovered this pillow at an airport store and it did the trick. I still use it for almost every flight I take.UPDATE: Downside for the new product is that it's a little hard, so little bit of a challenge to get back into the carrying case but I hope that it will soften up over time. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, works great!

Great Travel Pillow!
I love my standard size version of this pillow, so I bought the travel size for an extended Europe trip, and it was perfect! Don’t let the “compact” size worry you. The memory foam keeps your head in place all night, just like the standard size, and it works surprisingly well. When in the travel case, it fit in the bottom of my backpack, so I was even able to use it for the long flights.

Travel pillow is hard as a brick.
Have owned many tempur-pedic pillows, and two mattresses. Bought the travel pillow for an upcoming trip and didn't test it out first. I had been using an old neck pillow cut in half, with the cover resewn to fit. I deeply regretted not trying this out first night on my trip. Pillow has no "memory" foam feel to it all, unless it is just made to remember keeping it extra firm shape at all costs. It was so hard that if I side slept my ears would hurt, having to swap sides multiple times throughout the night. I ended up buying another regular size tempur-pedic pillow and using it during my trip. No stars for this little guy. I tried several different methods of "breaking in" with no success. Was past the 30 day returns when I got back home, and will just chalk it up to a lesson learned.
