So, I originally got a rare and buggy version of this cocktail tool. The spring didn’t stay in place.But I noticed that many reviewers loved it, and almost nobody else had that same complaint.So, I reached out directly to the company. They’re very nice people and were awesome about the whole situation. He said they were sorry I had that experience, and they were more than happy to send out a brand new one.It arrived quickly and true to the promise implied in all the positive reviews, it worked beautifully. This is a big improvement over my previous strainer for a variety of reasons. It’s larger and fits over my standard size shaker tin, and it has a place to easily hold it in place while pouring. I even poured two drinks at once with it using the split slots, it was fun but a bit messy. Recommended!

Excellent Materials

The cocktail strainer works great.

Very, very nice Hawthorne strainer with just a half-star short (maybe only a quarter) of 5 star quality. Works better than any other Hawthorne strainer that I've owned, and I've had 3 others. But I'm only giving it 4 stars because the polished steel finish, which was nice and close to flawless, could have been just slightly better quality in my opinion. That said, the strainer looks, feels, and works great.

I have ordered also a 'Bar Mat' and a 'Muddler' and both are of Excellent quality. The Strainer I ordered this time is sturdy and beautifully made in the USA, by an American Company. THIS is important to me. They give you their website on the Amazon site.
