ASICS Men's Gel-Scram 4 Running Shoes

I freaking love these shoes. It’s my second pair, one for running and the other for work. I’m a ER nurse and I can confirm these do very well for walking and standing 12-14 hours a day. I have super wide feet so I’m limited to what shoes I wear, these are awesome! The only negative is, and this is just my opinion, that they have mesh tops, so fluids you don’t want to get through your shoes will do so. Other than that, they’re great for running, walking, standing, and super light and comfy all day.

I don't write reviews but I will for this product. Its bad enough trying on lots of shoes at different stores and you read the box and even though it says your size its either too small or too big. So buying a pair of shoes off the internet is a big risk. I was very nervous when they arrived and prepared for the worse.....Great shoe and even better priced compared to comparable and name brands.This shoe amazed me. Everyone has different feet but for me this cushion was perfect in all the right places. It wasn't too hard...or too soft ... it was just high enough in the arch for a little support without feeling bulky. The length was perfect with just the right amount of toe space. Now with socks may be sligthly snug. But I DO have a wide foot so may not be an issue with someone else. Without socks it feels perfect like its your own foot with cushion. The rubber on the shoe is fantastic. Some soles when new, they don't grip the floor. They may feel slippery so you have to break them in until you start to grip. Not this shoe. I walked into a wet kitchen floor and these shoes gripped. The shoe feels designed to run in. It feels good when your foot strikes the ground when you run. I feels like enough support for your foot to "roll" with your running steps. It has enough bend in it but not so much where it kills your feet like some other shoes and not too stiff where you feel like you are running with a pair of bricks.Personally I have saved the name, model brand and size of this shoe. I will keep buying it and hope it never goes out of production.For me this shoe is 5 stars...its everything I have been looking for in a shoe.

Asics makes the best shoes for my feet. I am 6'2", 250 with size 13 that are too narrow for a wide shoe, but too wide for a normal shoe. I also have high arches. Asics just seem to fill the void, being stylish at the same time, and at a great price.My only complaint about Asics is that the wear and tear that happens on them is too quick. The design is fantastic, but the product material/quality could be elevated. The backs of the shoes on the inside fray and rip apart way too quickly than they should.Overall though, I haven't worn anything but Asics in the last 5 years, so I have to give 5 stars.

I've always bought Asics Gel running shoes because they fit my feet the best. I get the trail type running shoes because I feel the typical road type running shoes don't give me adequate support. I really like the style and colors of the Gel Scram 4. I can wear it running, at work, or just out and about. The only negative things about these shoes are the shoelaces are too short and the insole is disappointingly thin and flat. I can buy new shoelaces, but I doubt I can find the same exact color and style. Previous Asics I owned had a more cushioned insole with a heel cup. I did buy new insoles to replace the insoles that came with the Gel Scram 4.

I bought these shoes to use while exercising on an elliptical trainer and general exercising at my local Y. As I have found with all Asics shoes, the fit is consistent but it's about 1 size small (I wear a 12 in everything else and a 13 in Asics, regardless of the model). I also find that Asics shoes are a little narrow in the toe box, although the rest of the shoe fits very well. I solve this by not using the eyelet closest to the toe when lacing the shoes. I jog very little because of a compound tear in a meniscus and I prefer my Asics Gel Nimbus20 to these shoes for jogging because they have more cushioning and the Scram 4 is cushioned for neutral foot strike and I severely under pronate. On the other hand, I find the higher lift of the Nimbus 20 awkward for general wear while the Scram 4 is very comfortable and the support is enough that I can wear them all day (I'm on my feet a lot) with no problems. Overall a great shoe. I'll definitely buy another pair.

cushion is comfortable (to a point where you can "feel it" being comfortable), good traction for quickly moving through trail. no issues with the outsole as some reviews have complained. Great for training.Looks cheap....the "camo" on the shoe makes it look dirty not stylish, you can't tell its really camo especially if it is a little dirty (it just makes it look very dirty). the top materials are extremely cheap and old school. This shoe is not really ugly but you can tell the materials look and feel like a crappy sneaker. Definitely not a sneaker you wear around town.the neon bottom of the shoe is cool from far away when you are running far ahead of your friends.

I was close to sending these back. Out of the box, these were very uncomfortable. My toes were going numb while driving my car. Loosened the laces and helped a little. Over a couple weeks, they have become more comfortable and have loosened up quite a bit. Just give them time, they do end up being pretty decent outdoor shoes. This is my first pair of Asics, so I'm used to the out of box comfortness that comes with Nike. I hope these last as long as my Nikes did.

I purchased these for my boyfriend who works in a warehouse on concrete and walks several miles every shift. He said they were the BEST shoes he's ever worn. They reduce is foot pain at the end of the shift with their great support. He feels like his foot is lighter and cushioned well. I highly recommend these for anyone that spends hours working on hard surfaces.
