Too much Fun!!
This book is a fun read, with a bunch of DC baddies trying to work of their prison debt by doing insane missions for Amanda Waller. This book collects issues #8-13 of the suicide squad plus issue #0, and #9 of Resurrection Man, 8 issues total. This book begins with the recovery of the team members from the events of Suicide Squad Vol. 1. If you haven't read Vol. 1, you will most likely not understand a lot of the comments as these two book are interconnected and many references are made. Here we see a small cross-over with Resurrection man, with whom I was completely unaware of as a DC comics character, but found his power to be super interesting and a good challenge for the Squad. Now I want to know more about him, might check out his series in the future. Also I for some reason love the character of King Shark, and man/shark who is hinted at being more than he appears to be. Deadshot was someone I never really cared for, but after this series am a huge fan. I would like to know more about both of these characters.Amanda Waller takes a large role in this storyline, showing a bit of her personal life, as well as the birth of her idea of the Suicide Squad in issue #0. She proves herself to be pretty bad-ass, and her hinted relationship with Regulus and Team 7 makes me want to know more.Overall I feel the art in these books is absolutely fantastic, and greatly support the fun and action packed writing of Adam Glass. I would definitely recommend this to friends, but Vol. 1 is a must!! Obviously I would like to know more, and I think I will start with Vol. 3 which is already out!!

Not as good as the first, but still pretty good.
This feels like a sequel movie. It has a strong enough story but at points it feels like it's holding information back from the reader. Waller in this novel seems to be taking orders from some other male, bald, outlined figure that contacts her time to time. This is the first we see that she isn't the "main boss" of the squad. I'm not going to be surprised who that is though since I think it's pretty obvious. Like I said, there seems to be a lot of information holding in this novel to get you to want to read more to "find out". It does however contain a pretty good main storyline in the begining, its just the tiny tid bits of (guess what we don't want you to know yet) that make this a bit of a disappointment than the last Suicide Squad novel. Its still pretty strong and a joy to read. I just don't like the cliche "theres a shadowy boss of the boss we knew, even though its obvious who its going to be. Anyways if you were the fan of the last novel you will like this one. 4/5-B

Upping the ante...
The first Volume of Suicide Squad set the stage and introduced the players. This second volume ups the ante by providing a nemesis for the team, in the form of the Basilisk organization, as well as backstory on some of the main players, such as the handler Amanda Waller. And once again, no one is safe and some unexpected casualties occur. This series continues to deliver the goods with good twists, including double agents, some spectacular action sequences and more of Harley’s crazy banter. I also like how the writers pepper the story with references to the wider DC universe. Some of their missions go through Gotham or Metropolis, and the Squad has to avoid the attention of Batman and Superman in order to succeed. Despite being criminal loners, the villains are starting to become a team. I’m curious to see where that goes and whether sentiment might get in the way at some point.Overall, this serious is darkly funny and gruesomely violent. I’m hooked and can’t wait for more. Highly recommended.

Suicide Squad is a great comic book series
This is a general review of the entire New 52 Suicide Squad series. Suicide Squad is a great comic book series. Plenty of action, twists, romance? and it can be dark. The best part of the series is you are always learning something new about the characters or being introduced to new characters. It isn't the same old stories you find with the superheroes.I bought the first volume and as soon as I finished the first issue, I immediately order volume 2. If you are looking for a new series to get into, I highly recommend getting into Suicide Squad, you won't be disappointed.

The Suicide Squad publication is a great title to read
Following the breakout of DC's New 52 Suicide Squad, the story of the team slows down a bit as the team is confronted with a religious zealot, who wants his suicidal cult to usher in the end times. Without writing any spoilers, the roster changes dramatically, traitors on both sides are revealed, and death comes to many, thus the name Suicide Squad. The Suicide Squad publication is a great title to read, but it peaks right around volume 3-4.

If you liked part 1...
Then this second chapter in the Suicide Squad will entertain you just as much. Like the original, the continuing story is a fast, fun and violent read with a couple of twists thrown in for good measure.

Book was hot
This book was very entertaining. Writing is well done. Has action and good humor. Waller is clod hearted and just wants the job done at all cost. You find out more about why she is liked that. She lost someone close to her and she had a hard life. We find out there are multiple traitors in Task Force X. They try to take out Waller and the Squad. Deadshot is a beast. He will take anyone out without even blinking. In the end he saves the Squad by killing himself and taking out the cult leader of Basilisk

Better than volume 1. Deadshot, Harley and Co battle Basilisk
Adam Glass continues his tale on their DC universes worst of the worst. Starts off right where the last volume left off wrapping things up where the last story left off and its smooth but also the art through the book is nice and pretty clean too so that is all just fine. The team go against the Resurrection Man. This guy can't die so you get the point why he is called that name and the squad is after him but it is not that easy as it seems but the battle was done in a way that is kind of predictable. While the fighting was good but it turns out Deadshot lasts longer against Mitch Shelly aka Resurrection Man. I pretty much wanted another character to do some cool stuff in that fight besides Deadshot but the fight was still cool either way. Then the mission to kill Regulas the leader of Basilisk gets intense as he is very brutal and insane psychopath. It all gets heated up from the time Basilisk shows up to the end of the volume. By the way the Resurrection man story with the suicide squad you'll need to catch up on cause its a crossover with the two books. With it being basically bad vs evil its a good suicide squad story.

Quality Squad volume 2.
I read this collection on Kindle. In the last collection I noticed on Kindle that some dialogue effects (such as El Diablo’s) were a little indistinct, well I had no such problems with this collection. I am very impressed. The panel-by-panel reading experience is a joy and if anything actually enhances the reading experience adding a cinematic quality. This collection flows on from the last wonderfully, picking up well on some sub-plots and seemingly throwaway comments in earlier issues. The ‘traitor’ plot was probably not as mysterious as the writer intended but it was a sensible development in the plotline and there were other surprises that I didn’t see coming.Moving on I’d like more on King Shark, who is not the comic-relief monster you’d expect and even more of the links between this title and the defunct Team7 title. The crossover with Resurrection Man worked well and I have no hesitation recommending those collections. Dare I hope the star may migrate to this team permanently in future? My clear favourite current title.Recommended.

Suicide Squad kills it
The second volume of this series absolutely lives up to the first. Harley is back in the fold after running rampant in Gotham and everyone but everyone continues to double-cross each other in the least cohesive team in comic books. Deadshot continues to star, but is well supported by a sterling cast, you have got to love King Shark, not to mention the manipulative and calculating Amanda Waller with a glimpse into her past. Banter between characters is smart and witty, allowing Glass to build and develop these characters further. The artwork gives a really good sense of the frantic action and quirky characters.I maintain that this title really livens up the New 52 roster and is well worth the money.

The Suicide Squad still continues to impress.
I loved volume 1 of The Suicide Squad. So I was hoping that volume 2 would continue to impress. I am glad to say that volume 2 was brilliant. Once again, there was loads of action, a great plot, humour and lots of twists and turns. Which is exactly what you want; in a Suicide Squad comic. The New 52 has produced some good titles, and some bad ones. But Suicide Squad is right up there; with the best new 52 titles. Adam Glass has done a fantastic job, on this title. I cannot wait for volume 3.

Humour, Violence and Harley Quinn
Following on from the very good 1st TP of the New 52 Suicide squad i am glad to say that this issue does not disappoint. The art is strill interesting and innovative, the stories are all beginning to come together with the addition of Basilisk as an organised threat led by powerful mutants. The humour and violence are still all there and pretty biting at times.Whilst i do not think this lives up to the 1st volume it is a very good book and i look forward to reading the 3rd edition.
