Cerakote Air Cured: High-Temp Firearm Finish. No baking necessary. Don't be fooled by others on who are supposedly "re-bottling" and "re-packaging" Cerakote into their own sizes and amounts with no manufacturer warranty. This is FACTORY BOTTLED & PACKAGED and shipped directly to you in true 4 oz bottles. All Air Cure product is factory sealed with black heat shrink tape on the bottle and cap per the manufacturer bottling process... *****NOTE: Manufacturer recommends using a blast box to prep surface prior to finishing. If not available, similar results may be achieved with a regimen of cleaning, disassembly, de-greasing, and then using very fine aluminum oxide paper/sponge or a scotch pad/steel wool, to prep the surface. This helps with full adhesion.

This product is very easy to apply
This product is very easy to apply. Prep work is by far the most difficult step but necessary for good adhesion. I’ve done 2 guns so far, 1 AR-15 in OD Green and a camo SBE2. This color was the base coat for the camo job. So far they seem to be holding up well. The AR gets babied but the SBE2 will tell the tale as it sees plenty of abuse. Painting camo was a lot more difficult than painting a solid color, but if you follow the directions you’ll be happy with the outcome.

Really easy and looks great
First I am not a painter. If you can spray paint you can cerakote. Bought a $14 harbor freight detail sprayer and some acetone. If you mess up? Just lightly sand and repaint.

Tough stuff. Awesome but some colors are thicker than others.
I liked how tough this stuff is. If I had a smaller oven to use, I would have gone with the heat cured. Air cured works too. Just have to leave it alone a little longer. Have to thin it out for airbrush mix. I ordered hidden white and gun metal grey. The grey was more like a silver and sprayed different than the white. Was thicker to start. Had to thin it out more. Got plenty left over as well. Will try an OD green or FDE next time. Thanks.

Cerakote is not just for guns.
I love Cerakote. NASA has used ceramic tile to protect spacecraft from the heat of reentry for decades. The Chinese have used ceramics for centuries. By using Cerakote on my motorcycle to reduce the heat coming from the exhaust. And by Cerakoting the tank, I hope to keep the gasoline cooler in the desert summer.

Turned out great
Very pleased with the way this turned out. Very easy to apply. Painted brace and grip to match rail and upper.

Easy, forgiving, but look up instructions!!
Using a small compressor and air brush for models was perfect once adjusted. It was enough to cover upper/lower, 2 15” handguards and a barrel. It dries nicely. Baked it after an hour at 195 for 3 hours. It’s fantastic.
