Microwave Browning Plate | Crisper Tray - by Home-X

First, worth about 19 CENTS rather than DOLLARS, IMO. Bought a fairly pricey 10-inch pizza to test it. My first mistake. Since instructions provided are virtually non-existent, we are told to warm it, grease it with butter, thaw everything EXCEPT PIZZA first . . . So that is what I tried to do. After placing it in my Sharp Carousel, I gave it full power for 60 seconds with a pat of butter on it; the butter melted, but the tray was barely warm to the touch. Twenty minutes later I had a no-longer FROZEN pizza, but not browned, very soggy, really inedible -- went after eating a few bites of the very edge straight into garbage, the center still quite cold. Boo, hiss.

Started off great,but noticed water inside after hand washing after first use. 3 uses later, Browning tray separated from base and would not go back together. Had to trash it!

I'm a single guy who hates to clean up anything, this tray was made for cooking and crisping right on top of it. But if you take a Dixie 10" round microwaveable paper plate and place the things you want to cook or crisp on that plate and then place them on the crisper tray, put it in the microwave to do it's thing, there is no clean up when it's done, just remove your paper plate and enjoy your crispy food. Now this also depends on what you have put on your paper plate, too much and there could be a mess to clean up, do it right and you will never have to fight to clean up anything. This is a single guy life saver, order yours now. p.s. As a single guy I also recommend that plastic dome thing to place over everything to stop things from splattering on to the side walls and top of your microwave. You will thank me later. p.s.p.s. I have not washed a real plate since 2005

Do not buy this product. Less than two months of proper use and cleaning... my "Crisper" is kaput. It separated while I was cooking a Trader Joe's Margarita pizza (see photo, pizza not included).

You really have to learn how to heat up different items it's not just one simple method fro all foods.

Doesn't brown like I thought. Put it in for 2 minutes on high and still didn't brown?

Never crisped...browning plate separated from base. Threw it away...big waste of money

I bought this item, hoping it would replace my old nordicware browning skillet that was used to brown our hash browns in the morning, but it made the edges too hard to eat and the center too soft. It was not at all what I wanted

I wanted to get a crisper that would allow my kids a safer way to heat up their snacks, like pizzas, quesadillas, fries, etc. The try I got does not do this very quickly so food gets over cooked. Not quite what we wanted.
