Quick sprouting
Great. Spread them out, water it in. Sprouted in 2 days. Highly recommended.

Easy to grow and looks good
During the pandemic I started growing clover all around my 1/2 lot. I tried four different kinds and this red clover has been one of the most successful. It grows easily and looks nice. I did not get too many flowers with my first planting but I think that was due to planting the seeds way, way, way too densely. The plants are a nice shade of green and stayed green through out the winter (I live in Silicon Valley). I was surprised to see them growing into the 2nd season. Apparently the plants will last a few years. One caution though. When you plant these seeds you must cover them with a thin layer of dirt. I did an experiment where I planted one patch with a thin layer of dirt and an adjacent patch with no dirt cover. The bare patch did not germinate successfully. Perhaps if I had watered the bare seeds multiple times per day they batch would have survived. In any event, I would very strongly recommend that these seeds be planted with 1/8 to 1/4 of dirt on top to get optimal germination success and also to minimize the gardening effort in the first week weeks of life.Anther suggestion is to follow the recommendation on density of seeds. If you plant the seeds too dense then you get a really dense mass of clovers but I think it makes it harder for any individual plant to flower.A final observation on this plant. In the fall last year these plants were looking bad. I thought that they had run their course (usually red clover are listed as "annuals") so I cut them down using the lawn mower at its lowest setting. My thought was that there would die and I would plant something new in that location. I was surprised that the cutting rejuvenated the plants going into the winter and they grew out fresh new foliage that looked great even now.

Fantastic little guys
These grew amazingly. I now have a lush bed of clover instead of stabby grass. They do need a lot of watering to start them properly, and we had a particularly wet spring. I will be ordering these again in the fall to seed ahead of time again for next year.

Up to a foot tall
It has been a year since I planted these in early March a year ago. I planted them in early spring last year. They did begin to sprout little clovers fast with all the rain last year. Then the HOA landscaper mowed them down twice and killed them. I had told them not to mow the back where they were. I was soo mad. Then this year they began sprouting back in patches in March. I was surprised to see that they have grown up to 1 foot tall. Keep the height in mind for your landscaping needs.

Difficult for us to get growing.
Came as described, however I had issues with germination and success. This was probably user error with the amount of water provided.

not purple, just kill the grass
Alot of daily watering of large areas at first. They sprouted well but alot died off when June 2024 was so dry. It did not out compete the grass. I bought 2 different hand spreaders which barely worked-- so the coverage was very uneven. The flowers were small and white. I am still looking for a ground cover to replace the grass.

Better than having a grass and dendelion covered lawn, and the flowers add to the perfection!
The seeds have already sprouted, and I am looking forward to a clover-covered lawn.

Zero germination
I purchased these seeds a couple different times and sowed half before winter, the other half this spring. I have not seen anything come up. Waste of $$ and very disappointing.
