Works great and includes warning sound for failure
This was a replacement for the power supply that came with the system. This unit has a two color light so you can see that it is on and working. Also, it includes a warning sound to notify of failure. Very important failsafes for a system that delivers potable water to the family.

good item to replace Salcor
This item will work well to replace the ballast/transformer for a Salcor 3G septic sanitizer at a fraction of the cost.

Perfect replacement for my water system
A power surge caused the ballast that came with my water filter to fail. found this one and it worked great. Going to order another just to make sure I have bacteria free filter system in the future.

Failed in less than 2 months
This power supply didnt even last 60 days. The plastic housing began to melt and the unit quit working.

2 then 3 yrs of experience with this
I have used this ballast for my hqua-ows-12l since 2018. The first lasted 3 yrs and this one 2. I hope to find one that last longer but for now 35-40$ every 2+ hrs isn't bad. Though they do take bulbs with them. I have tested new bulbs against the old and new ballast and the old ballast powered the new bulb for half a minute then fails. That's not to say the bulbs aren't ruining the ballast. Bulbs are way more pricing than the ballast.

Goes to a 'fault' status out of the box or within 60 days of purchase
I have a water UV light and has worked for 3 yrs when the ballast failed. Ordered two of these. The first out of the box went to a fault as soon as it was plugged in the the second I had purchased as a spare worked. Did a return on the defective unit and the installed one worked for 60 days. Then went to a fault. Pulled out returned Spare and it is defective out of the box. Yes, I have spare bulbs (new) in which I have tested as well. I will not purchase this item again, it's too late to return now and don't recommend unless you purchase the extended warranty protection.

Great for 96 watt Compact Flourescent.
I used these as replacement in a high output aquarium light that has 2-96 watt compact flourescent bulbs (1 for each flourescent bulb) and 2 halide bulbs. They work great and fit in the right spaces of the light housing. Couldn't find replacement ballasts anywhere for 96 watt compact bulbs, but these work just as well.
