Well fabricated jacket with below par protection
I wanted to get a textile jacket for my wife, but due to lockdown, this was the only online option. I've been using moto tech protectors as replacement units for my Dainese & Alpinestars leather jackets and although considerably heavier, they offer decent protection. So I wasn't very apprehensive.Fit - Got XS since she normally wears XS/S size apparel. It was a tight fit with the inner liner. But I didn't want to exchange it for the next size since we needed it for the commute. But without the inner liner, it is a perfect fit over any apparel. --> 5 starBuilt - Very well crafted and stitches are of good quality. Been through few heavy showers of rain and so far no issues. --> 5 starProtection - Ok.. this isn't something we can judge by just feeling the protector pads (and obviously one doesn't intend to test it!!). But overall the pads are okay for the price. Claims to be CE approved. The pads themselves are similar to ones you find on lower-end Cramster & DSG models. The spine protector is as good as nil. In fact, the pads are so scarce that I could fold this jacket and store it inside my jacket!! ---> 3 starsDesign - I was apprehensive about the flower pattern, but it looks very neat in real and my wife liked the overall presentation. There are enough zippers to carry essential stuff although it isn't recommended to carry hard objects in jacket front pockets as they can do more harm in event of a fall --> 5 starsPrice - Elephant int he room... At close to 7k, this is in the league of established players without much idea about reliability/quality. If I had the choice to see the jackets physically before deciding to buy, I would have spent bit more and gone for ZEUS or RYNOX products in the sub 10k price bracket --> 2 stars
