Roman Gladiator Costume

This is a great costume. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the quality was, compared to the price ($48). My son was Alexander the Great, for a school event. He wore this costume and won an award for best costume. Sizing is on par with regular sizing. He normally wears an adult medium and that is what we purchased.

Got this Costume for my Hubby; for Halloween Party 2024. Based on all the reviews got a Smaller Size, which would be a SMALL. Normally he would be a MEDIUM chest size 40.The costume was still a little bit big on him, But all I have to do is tie on him as tight a possible on the back. Some of the pieces I will be sewing them on so that they stay in place (but anyone can easily use a safety pin, if you cant sew).The Tunic is big but, it has to be that way so that there's room to move around. The Seam at the Neckline (which is WAY big) is very visible but if you fold it in when ironing it it will look good. I purchased this for an adult Greek themed 2019 Halloween party. It arrived one day after Halloween but within the date range listed when I placed the order. The packaging was in good condition and everything listed was included. I ordered the XL size because I am 6’5”. Everything fit wise was comfortable but the tunic came up a little short on me. Nothing I had that I could wear under it would not be visible so I sacrificed some modesty and just wore the costume as is. It was surprisingly comfortable all evening. The costume itself looks really nice and there are a lot of nice details in it. It’s not exceptionally sturdy however and other than a little bit of thin rubber on the breast plate it is entirely fabric. There are several small strips of Velcro that attach the tunic with the armor and cape to keep everything aligned. They are pretty small and don’t have much contact surface so it took several attempts and once I got them in place I used some black safety pins to hold it together more securely. Several of the Velcro straps were practically falling off of the shin guards so I again resorted to safety pins. They were an adequate temporary solution and held up well. Hot glue is the planned long term fix.I didn’t purchase a shield or sword to go with this. I already had some sandals but I bought a metal helmet separately. It was significantly more than costume itself but Its also looks really cool on my mantle.Overall I would recommend this costume.

I just got this costume today it came very fast (3 days). The costume looks fantastic and for the price you honestly can’t beat it compared to some big costume stores where the same thing would be $100 *cough* Spirit *cough*. However, despite the costume itself looking good there are a few things I want to let potential buyers know. Like the rest of the comments say, it runs very large. I usually wear a Large and ordered a small, it’s still pretty oversized. I’m 6 foot and 185 pounds with an athletic build and this thing is a touch too big. The second thing I’d like to note is that the costume itself, while looks great, is made cheaply, the Velcro doesn’t stick too well so be sure to pick up some pins to hold the cape in place and hold it up in spots. Other than those two things, this is a very solid costume with a very solid price point.

This was a great costume, my son looked awesome. He had so many compliments. He is very tall (6'4) so he had to wear shorts underneath - the skirt part is pretty short but it didn't alter the look of the costume. He weighs 250lbs and the Large fit him just fine with room to spare.
