Scotch Vinyl Color Coding Electrical Tape 35, 3/4 in x 66 ft, White

I learned from working in maintenance that there are two types of electrical tape. The kind that maintenance workers use and the cheap kind they leave out for people to take home for personal use. This is the tape professionals use!

Scotch 35 tape is hands-down the best!

Use as rigging tape to cover sharps like cotter pins and rings in turnbuckles, and clevis pins on a sailboat against line, sail, or even human snags. The white tape from 3M withstands the elements for several seasons, and doesn't attract dirt like self-bonding amalgamating riggers tape. 3/4" width would be better.

Works just like any other electrical tape, yet this is white instead of the usual black. Tape is sticky, but not too sticky, so if you make a slight mistake you have a moment to adjust/fix your wrap. If you don't need white, the standard electrical tape in black is usually cheaper. I wanted white for a specific application with a white background. I would buy again if the need arose. Would only recommend if you need white specifically though.

This tape has saved me hundreds of dollars. Seriously. I use it to label the food in my refrigerator and containers in the pantry. Whether in the frig or the freezer section, this tape stays on, even through hand and dishwasher washing. Makes it so easy to see what is in the frig, and the date of the leftovers. No more wasting food. For the other family members, it's so easy for them to open the door and see all the meal possibilities. I use a black magic marker on the label and it's never faded or smeared. I just ordered my second roll, because I can't imagine my kitchen without this handy tape.

I would give this 5 stars except that the tape is on the thin side. I use electrical tape for several purposes, including blocking the light from LEDs that manufacturers love to put on their gadgets. In the past, the traditional black electrical tape has done a fantastic job of this, but with the trend towards white electronics for the home, I got some white tape. This tape does not completely block the LEDs on my wireless router or my range extender - both of which are in bedrooms - I have to use two layers of tape, which does not look nearly as clean.
