Stick with the brand name and save time, money, mess, and stress
I have a Lexmark Z611 that I bought for $22 in 2006 and have been using it for my small online business printing (packing slips, shipping labels, tax returns, etc.) for almost 8 years. During the recession, I tried ink refill kits which stained my clothing, furniture and ruined a new rug, and generic cartridges that clogged, dried out, and ran out in no time.Fed up with the stress of Express shipping labels or tax returns that wouldn't print, I decided to go back to the Lexmark brand cartridges a few years ago. I have not looked back. The Lexmark brand cartridges last months longer and never dry up even after sitting in my cold office over my winter holiday break. On my first day back to shipping after 3 weeks, my shipping label and packing slip printed beautifully this morning without a hitch. With generic cartridges, I used to have to set a space heater in front of the printer for about 10 minutes to get the ink flowing in winter. I also used to waste a ton of ink cleaning the head and doing test prints. But no more. For just $5 more, I can go to work and process urgent orders without having to worry about my labels not printing and missing deadlines.Note: Because this is a fairly old printer, it is possible that some marketplace sellers have had their stock sitting around for years, so you might get an occasional dry cartridge. I always order cartridges that are fulfilled by Amazon so I can return them if they prove to be old and dried up. I've only had to return a Lexmark cartridge once.

Lexmark #16 Black Ink
It seems to work fine as it should. I have purchased this number cartridge as well as #27 (Color) several times before (not from speedy inks) and have not been satisfied because even though they seemed to be factory sealed pouches but not in factory boxes. They were either very old as I had hard time getting tape off cartridge or leaking or printed very few pages. The cartridges used to sit 1-3 months before using but now I examine them as soon as they come in as these are not very common cartridges (Staples only carries in Warehouse and not in stores). The Lexmark printer that uses these uncommon cartridge shas been terrific and has outlasted 3 other printers on our other computer.

great
no more imitation ink for me, printer shows all the time low ink you never know when it will run out but with the name brand you know exactly how much you have, and the quality of the printed out work is perfect, dries quick so no smudges while reading it straight from your printer and last a long time so it saves you money

Worked great
This was more expensive, but it worked! Tried the cheaper options but they would not print. I guess you get what you pay for.

Not Bad For an Inkjet
I highly recommend buying this cartridge, #16 as opposed to #17--it will last you much longer and save you money. The two are interchangeable, except that #16 lasts longer and is usually only marginally more expensive. I would not recommend using a refill kit or buying generic. It makes me angry that I could buy a new printer (which would include b&w and colour cartridges) for less than it would cost to replace the b&w and colour cartridges. So I just don't buy colour. I'm a college student so I primarily print papers anyway. I own a Lexmark z515 which I bought because it was cheap and it worked with Linux.Other recommendations:If you can afford it, get a laser printer. Toner is more expensive initially, but will last much longer than ink and save you money in the long run.If you're stuck with an inkjet like me, run your printer in economy mode. It will print faster and the ink will last longer. As the cartridge gets low, you'll have to set it to higher and higher quality in order to squeeze the last drops of ink out. Also, don't let your printer go too long without being used. Your ink cartridge will get clogged or dried out, and won't last as long.Don't bother printing photos with a normal inkjet printer unless you have no other option. Take your digital photos to one of those in-store kiosks or get a portable photo printer that does 4x6 photos. It may cost more, but you'll get better pictures (neater edges, higher resolution, sometimes even laminated) and save yourself a few grey hairs. Of course if you're printing odd-sized or very large photos I guess you don't have much choice. Also, make sure you buy the correct cartridge for your printer before opening the box!

Works very well
I purchased this ink a while back and it was just a month ago that I loaded it into the printer. I has not been printing regularly for over a month and this ink refill has worked very well without any problems. It is really lasting, as the icon showing the ink remaining has really not decreased very much.

The Product Delivered Was Not Product Advertised
The product that was delivered was a different Lexmark 16printer cartridge, which provides for a lesser page yield. Theproduct displayed is apparently discontinued... The newbox indicates it yields approx. 335 pages, so it's stilla good deal, just not as good as the one shown, whichused to yield 415 pages...
