This replaces another Panasonic
We had another Panasonic fax for many years and were very happy with it. When it stopped working one day, there was no question we would replace it with another Panasonic. Interestingly enough, by the time the new model was delivered the old one started to work again, so now I'm looking for a home for it.What I like better about this Ultra-compact design is that it's even smaller than the previous one. We have very limited space and this is perfect. One disappointment: we can't use the same size film, but that's understandable since the span between the manufacturing time is so great. It works like a charm and was easy to set up.

Simple, basic fax
I just assumed my new mac contained a modem. What was I thinking. ? Rather than go out and buy an external modem to send and receive faxes, I just bought this simple basic model that works great. I had purchased an all in one, and was really disappointed because both my husband and I thought we could send and receive faxes directly into our computers just like in the old days. Live and learn. This machine has a "film roll" that acts as ink for your plain paper.

Don't waste your time or money on this one!
I'd give this zero stars if that was an option. Don't waste your money on this piece of crap! it won't send multiple pages without missing some pages or just stopping. Mine quit being able to print out the faxes I receive or printing anything for that matter, it won't feed the paper properly, that goes for sending faxes too. So basically I have a worthless piece of junk sitting in my home office.I previously owned another model Panasonic fax machine that was great and lasted 10 years or more, so when it came time to replace it , I again chose Panasonic. Apparently, they don't make things like they used to...I'm going with a Brother this time.

Very nice Fax machine
I really like this machine. It is small which makes it easy to place on my desk. I prints very well. The only thing I wish were different is that I have to turn it on to "FAX" before someone is going to send one to me. I wish it would automatically know when a fax is coming, because other people do not know to call me before sending a fax to me. So that part is kind of annoying. But it works well when one comes in.

Good value, works as advertised
Works well, and compact. For the price we couldn't find ANY fax machine locally, and it works very well without any errors.

Not good for faxing things. Blank Pages.
I really like the look of this fax machine, and I love the fact that it's compact and doesn't take up much space. I haven't received any faxes yet, so I don't know how well the prints will look. So far, I'm having a lot of trouble faxing things out though. I've sent faxes 4 times, and 2 of the 4 times, the receiver received missing pages. They sent me a PDF of what I had faxed them, and the missing pages just showed up as a blank pages.I already threw out the box, so I can't even return it. I feel like the machine was a waste of money.

Compact fax machine
This is what I was looking for - a compact and easy to use machine. I have an all-in-one machine. But for occasional faxing need, it's too much trouble to use that one. This Panasonic fax machine is supposed to replace an old and big Panasonic phone/fax. So far I found that it's missing one function. It does not have speakerphone(many online places used this term). But it just has a one-way "monitor". Too bad, but for the price....
