Very useful piece of equipment.
This product is excellent, not cheap, small compact compared to a hand held FLIR's but particularly useful for use in electronic fault finding by identifying over heating components in circuit boards. Can be useful in other areas such as identifying energy heat loss around the house.

Thermal IR Imaging
Seems to work OK, though images are a slightly noisy compared to a FLIR OMEGA camera of lower picture resolution that I used more than a decade ago. But that maybe the automatic gain control stretching image contrast too much in low contrast areas. The camera did not like my HTC Desure 820 - the USB connection was a bit intermittant. But it did like my Moto C Plus. The lens can be used to focus at a range of distances, but sometimes it is tricky to get the focus quite right - maybe something one gets with all thermal IR cameras. Good at detecting cool patches and damp in the wall. Picked up the Moon in the sky. Also good at detecting heat from cables or where someone has walked across the floor. Overall, with a bit more exploring of the settings, I think I will get quite a lot of use out of this device. Beware though on some cameras the USB fitting may make the camera face in the wrong direction.

the units works with the phone which te FLIR did not, the flir on my wifes phone was better. the temperture reading on this is not accurate, the flir was. both looking at paper which is heated
