Still Game: The Complete Collection [DVD] [2019]

I absolutely loved this boxset, I don't think I've laughed so much in ages. Totally addictive, every single actor was brilliant in their character roles. The B******d word was heavily used throughout and other minor swearing and it is a bit course in places but it's so funny that you can't be offended by any of it. I'm in the same age group as the characters (70's), a quarter Glaswegian (although I've never been to Scotland in my life) and have a life long male Glaswegian friend so I was able to just roll with it so to speak, enjoying every single moment and plot line. I do admit I had to use the subtitles to help sometimes because the accents were so strong but I didn't mind that. My favourite character was Navid, he just got better and better as it went along, he and 'Meena' will have you in stitches. I totally recommend this boxset, it was money very well spent and it's one boxset I guarantee you, if you buy it, you'll go back to it time and again, I know I will.PS. If you want to know what Meena is REALLY saying you have to have the subtitles on all the time so you can see the REAL translation and then compare with the translation that Navid gives the customers when they ask what she said. Seriously, it's hilarious and very addictive.

I live in the USA so there are some specific Scottish references & names that get by me but overall this show is a hoot. Top-notch writing, classic but not rehashed gags & a bit of slap-stick make for a truly hilarious show. Unlike many (most?) modern American sit-coms Still Game is one of those shows that will be funny many years from now & one future generations (with a sense of humor) will appreciate.

What an amazing show still game was, brilliant characters and a great story lines. I wish they could make more episodes for today, I honestly felt gutted watching the very last show, a true comedy show that lifted me up when ever down.

As a Scotsman, I find this authentically Scottish in character, occasionally hilarious and fantastically well written. I have no idea how many times I've enjoyed watching all the series. In my opinion, one of the all-time best comedies to come out of Scotland.

Easy to take out/put back in container. Good price for many hours of good scottish humour. Easy to store.

Had seen a couple of episodes on late night TV and found them hilarious!A bit like 'Last of the summer wine....For adults!'Watched every episode....and some more than once!Some great funny characters, and didn't realise how big a following this show got!The box set is worth every penny!

I bought this at a decent price compared to other places I was looking at. The dvd came within a decent time frame and was in good condition, having only one small tear in the cover. The disks run smoothly and has all the seasons and specials. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Great set - I actually got a region free DVD player so I could have Still Game on dvd. Will probably forever be one of my favorite shows.

J’avais vu des bouts d’épisode et je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat, l’accent est dur (Glasgow) mais avec les sous-titres, ça passe et à force, on finit par ne plus en avoir besoin.Beaucoup d’humour sur fond de crise sociale, certains épisodes sont durs surtout les 2 premiers et un autre avec un décès. Très très proche de la réalité. Mais ça reste un must have, j’adore.Pour anglicistes, anglophones habitués à l’accent glaswegien.

Nice DVD Box with some little extras. Good quality. Needless to say that Still Game is absolutely brilliant.
