Looks Great, Sturdy and Works Great. See How to Install with Baseboards
We bought this gate to contain our new whirlwind of a puppy, to a smaller section of the house while house training him. In the past we've used the tension kind of gate that you had to step over but that was kind of a pain.So glad we spent a little extra and got this one as it looks very nice, is sturdy and a good quality gate.It was pretty easy to install and was helpful that they provided measured templates that you can cut out and place against the wall to show where you need to put the screws in. I installed it in about 15 to 20 minutes taking my time.IMPORTANT NOTE: This gate will work perfectly if the area and two walls you are mounting it to do NOT have baseboards (or if your baseboard is very short - like an inch and a half). If you do have baseboards taller than that (like we do), you have 2 options, 1 - Cut the baseboard section out where the bottom mount will overlap. But that is a bit obtrusive and going to be a pain to repair when you decide to take the gate down. So the second option (which is the one I did), is to measure so that the bottom mount is just above/right on top of the baseboard, then measure from there to the top mount making sure the distance between mounts is still correct. When doing this, the bottom of the gate will no longer be flush with the floor. Our baseboards are only a couple of inches so it is still workable as the puppy can't fit under there (obviously). Also, you no longer have support of the floor across bottom of the gate now. So what I did to fix that was took a wooden dowel, cut two pieces to the size of the gap under each hinge point (there are only two), painted them black and then put one under each hinge so that it was a tension fit. Tip, cut the dowel just a hair long and then file it down to creep up on the right size. That sounds alot worse than it actually was and the 15 to 20 minute install did not include the wooden dowel fix.But at the end of the day, it is very sturdy, looks nice and works like a charm! We also like that it has a light spring on the gate to close it but if you open the gate all the way, it will stay open which is helpful on occassion.

Great gate!
The media could not be loaded. The gate fits nicely in our 70” opening. Be aware it is not white, box says linen, it is an off white light beige color. This gate will fit in multiple type openings. As you can see in the attached pictures and video, it is bowed out a little, not perfectly straight. It is sturdy, easy to install, easy to use and practical. It folds away easily or can be removed completely, just leaving the brackets. The walk through gate is convenient, can be operated with one hand and the auto close feature is great. Once the two bars are turned, it is stable, it has stood up to my grandson grabbing the bars and shaking them. Really they have thought of everything, definitely designed by a parent!

This is the best baby gate!
We've lived in two different houses now with toddlers, and our current home has wide doorways so our old 'compression' style gates wouldn't suffice. I splurged and bought this gate - and it's one of the best baby gear purchases I've ever made. I actually now have purchased THREE! The latch is very simple to use one-handed, the gate is very sturdy and well made, and the entire thing can be unlatched if the full doorway is needed (when grandma visits with her walker). The gate closes so easily and relatches all by itself. It installed quickly and it won't scratch our wood floors or leave marks in our carpeting. My favorite thing about the gate though is that it is as beautiful as it is functional. It's a cream-white rather than a stark white, and the little arch in the gate gives it a little charm. It fits right in with the old-world charm and character of our home. Very pleased with this product!Edited to add: We've been using this product for almost 3 years now -- 5 stars! Works as well as day one. :)

Awesome gate !!
This gate is really awesome !! I have never imagined that a gate could bring so much beauty to the room. I got so many compliments from friends & family. The main purpose of this gate is to stop our 3 furbabies from going into the formal living and upstairs and it really serves the purpose.I had my doubts about installing this gate by my self when I ordered but installation was a breeze. I have crown moldings at the bottom and my solution for this was to mount the gate above the molding. The only minor problem with this gate is the latching button used to open the gate, I found it to be a little difficult to press down to open the gate. The best feature of this gate is that you can easily remove it when not needed. For the price I payed I could not ask for more. The brown color goes very well with my decor and the quality of the gate is really sturdy. I would highly recommend this gate !!An added plus to this gate system is that it's extremely easy to disconnect from the mounting brackets and collapse against one of the walls, either full-extended or folded in on itself. It's very convenient for when we have people over and don't need to bother with the gate, or when we're moving larger stuff around and need it out of the way. I couldn't imagine having a gate without that feature after having this one.The only reason I'm knocking this gate a star is the mounting hardware. It doesn't include drywall anchors, so unless you provide them yourself you'll have to find studs to screw into or your baby is probably going to rip the gate off the walls by the time he/she is 2 years old. I always keep a wide variety of drywall anchors on hand because they're cheap and greatly increase the mounting options I have for things like this. I used 75lb drywall anchors for each upper mounting bracket, and that leads to my 2nd issue with this gate...If you have baseboards in the area you're wanting to install this gate, you won't be able to use the lower mounting brackets without damaging the baseboards, which I refused to do. That's why I really went for the overkill on the upper brackets. The lower mounts are positioned at the very bottom of the gate itself, and not midway up the end poles like on some other gates. So unless you want to install the gate floating in the air at least the height of your baseboards, or you don't mind ruining your baseboards and needing to replace them later, you won't be able to use the lower brackets.Having said that, with the drywall anchors we really don't miss having the lower brackets. I can shake the gate myself and it won't budge, let alone when my son tries. The gate is built extremely well and is very sturdy, even without those bottom brackets (though with my added drywall anchors). It's easy to take down and put back up thanks to the quick-connect/disconnect clips on the end panels. All in all, I'd recommend this gate 100% to anyone and would buy one for every large area I needed to fence off in my house if I actually had any more areas.
