If you want to change your life, buy this book
I read this book a while back from someone I borrowed it from. It is so great I had to get my own copy. I have always wondered how a human being could love the Gospel so much that he willingly goes into a situation with high odds he will lose his life. While fans of Elliot know his famous line "he is no fool to give up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose", there are a lot of other less popular but equally useful insights in this book. My favorite that has really impacted me is "wherever you are be all there".

don't miss out on reading this book!
I have read this book several times and given it as a gift time and again! This is about a man who gave it all for the service of the Lord Jesus Christ! You will have the opportunity to peer behind the scenes into this man's heart and see what his one desire was....to serve God! It is a hard book to put down and you will walk away having learned something you can apply to your life!

Ever Fresh and New
I read some of the journal writings when I was a young Christian, shortly after Jim Elliot and his fellow missionaries were martyred. I read them again just recently and this man's spirituality in one so young was and is extraordinary. He puts me to shame today as he did 50 years ago.

Can be difficult to get through, but is totally worth it
I enjoyed this book and felt it gave a lot of insight into who Jim Elliot was. It was sort of sad going into it, because you know the outcome (assuming you know anything about Jim Elliot and his story). It was fascinating reading about how he fell in love with Elisabeth and just his devotion to God.Some of it is quite dry, as I'm sure all journals are, but I appreciate that they didn't leave that stuff out, because it made the rest of it more real.
