Gold Tone, 4-String Banjo, Right (AC-4)

There was no cushioning placed around the instrument in the shipping box, so it was free to move around and potentially be damaged during shipment.

Came in tune! Decent soft case with pocket. My grandfather gave his away when moving across country to be in assisted living, but found he wanted one to keep busy. He loves it! Would be nice if they added a pick or 2, but we found some easily. Nice instrument at great price.

Very well made banjo, came tuned out of the box. Great banjo for beginners or even intermediate players.

My wife bought this for me, it was a really good sounding Banjo, unfortunately a few minutes into playing it, a string snapped. I would say this banjo is a little pricy for its worth. 4/6.

I play Chicago tuning now. I bought this to learn true tenor tuning.

Came almost in tune already and bridge setup. Plays and sounds perfect. Nut needed a bit of filing on the edge but thats it.

I have several high quality 4 string tenor banjos tuned CGDA - Bacon and Day, Vega , Richelieu , but when I just want to throw something in the car and to have available during some down time, I use the ac-4 - if you know how to tighten the head and set the bridge position properly, you should be a able to get a great sound of this banjo.I was shocked at how good it sounds, especially because it’s light as a feather and you can’t beat the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another ac-4. And to think it’s made out of composite materials. Gold tone did a great job with this. I’ve tried the Rover model banjos in this price range and returned them immediately — they can’t compare to the Ac-4.
