KitchenCraft 2-in-1 Plastic Plug and Sink Strainer, 11.5 cm (4.5") - Grey / Green

Our sink came with no strainer so we purchased this as it provides a 2 in 1 service, as it can also be closed and we can use as a plug when we need the sink to be full of water. It does both jobs very well. No leaks when plugged in and it does prevent leftover food from going down the drain. A bit hard to clean, but it compensates by being a great product.

The media could not be loaded.  This is one of those small things I wish I'd bought ages ago. My sink plug worked but was very hard to get out (I'd actually use a sink plunger to suck it out). I didn't put it in much. The sink was always getting blocked too. I had a metal filter that would be clogged up almost straight away.Then I got this, but tbh I wasn't confident. I thought it would either not fit or not be watertight. I was wrong on both counts (see clip). It is watertight and works great. The best bit is that I now have a sieve that works, and that I can permanently leave in place. The number of holes and the way they are arranged means water flows through all the time.Very pleased, would definitely recommend this product (more than happy to plug this !-)Update: I've had this a while now and to be fair it is not 100% water tight. Easily good enough for the washing up or soaking something, but if you leave a full sink overnight it will probably be half full in the morning.

Just what I needed perfect

I love this, I searched for ages for a plug and sieve for my old IKEA basin, still in amazing condition, but they don't sell the sink drainer anymore and mines was causing the sink to fill.It fits great, to catch food waste and the suction is great to fill the sink also.

Perhaps my own fault for not looking at the size properly - if it had been cm rather than inches, perhaps it would have been sensible. But for the life of me I cannot figure out what size of sinks this item is actually designed for. Perhaps if you live in a house designed for giants, it would fit your sink.It is actually a quality item, in terms of how it is made - just way too large for purpose.

I was hoping for a lot more. It arrived looking big. It does fit but it slips. I am yet to see how effective the drainage is. The plug is big and bulky. Will be interesting to see if the sink actually holds the water with the plug or does it seep through the loose fitting strainer? It would've been good if it had a suction pad on the plug, but it doesn't - so it's sitting on the side looking unsightly while not in use. I needed a strainer as my last one broke - I don't think I will be buying this one again.

It does exactly what it’s meant to. My daughter lost her strainer and it works just as well, catches all the tiny bits. Plus you can fill the sink with water with the top on. She’s happy, I’m happy.

Bought this mainly because it advertised itself as doubling up as a sink plug. The strainer is fine but the plug does not seal perfectly. Fill a sink and the water level will gradually drop (although only very slowly). This may be fine for a lot of users but I was looking for a plug that would work 100%.

Je ne sais pas l’utilité car le rond extérieur est bien trop grand et je n’ai pas vu sa dimension

Preso per un lavabo vecchio di 15 anni e per il quale è impossible trovare il tappo/filtro originale in acciaio (lo vende una ditta tedesca a quasi 30 euro...). Beh, molto molto meglio dell'originale! Si integra perfettamente ed è totalmente in silicone dunque facilmente lavabile in lavastoviglie.Benché abbia un doppio lavello, ne ho preso solo uno per provare, ed ho immediatamente ordinato il secondo.

Schade wäre eine tolle Sache gewesen, hab aber nicht richtig nachgemessen.

Muy adecuado para evitar el atasco y el tapón para limpiar verdura o retener el agua es genial
