I Bought these for my daughter and I. I wanted simplicity and comfort and something that would prevent her from taking a big breath of water. These Snorkels delivered! She's 19 and has a smaller mouth. I was worried it'd be too big but she says it's fine. Im a bigger guy and have a larger mouth. Fits me perfect. It takes very little effort to keep this flexible snorkel in your mouth. Flexible snorkels are designed for scuba diving so that when one wants to drop the snorkel out of the way to go on tanked air, he or she just opens their mouth and the mouth piece swings away. The snorkel naturally wants to straighten up. Consequently, Flexible scuba snorkels place pressure on the mouth... Naturally wanting to swing away. This tires the user out from having to bite down on the mouth piece to keep it in place.You DO NOT have that issue with this snorkel. The rim on the mouth piece that sits behind your teeth is rather large. It rests nicely on the back of your teeth so that you dont have to use any effort to keep the mouth piece in place. You just gently close your mouth and it stays in.As far as the dry valve goes... It works really good. When you go under to dive, it seals up right away and you dont suck in any water. I was trying really hard to suck water through and make it fail. I would be snorking and suddenly dive under water while taking a deep breath. The valve closed up immediately. With the valve closed, Id suck as hard as I could to try to get water to pass through. It stayed dry!! As far as dry goes, you truly cant get any better. If water geta in from the mouth piece when its not in your mouth, it's very simple to purge. Just blow. My kid had zero issues and shes not too mechanically inclined.As far as breathing goes, it is tad restrictive. I wouldnt use this for lap swimming. I got breathing pretty heavy while snorkeling hard. You cannot take quick deep breaths. Rather, you have to take long, slower deep breaths. Certainly adeqauate for scuba diving and casual snorkeling though.The clip holding the snorkel to the mask seems plenty durable. It holds it in place firmly. It takes a fair amount of pressure to unclip it. Not too much and not too little. So far so good.I've only used this snorkel for about 10 hours in the pool and in the ocean. Time will tell how durable it is long term. If there are any issues, I will report back.I whole heartedly recommemd these snorkels. Ive used It instead of my $70 dollar Atomic Snorkel my whole trip so far.

This is a great snorkel! It's been ages and ages since I've gone snorkeling, though I swim laps everyday.This snorkel has probably been around for a while, but as someone who has only used it for the first time since the good old - emphasis on OLD - tube snorkel... The dry snorkel rocks!!It's ingenious how this is designed to really keep water out. Even when waves crash down, I don't have to look up or do anything. I could keep watching for fish without worrying about getting water out of my mouth or lungs. Sooo nice.As for the quality of this snorkel, this one is very pretty (I got one in blue and it's a great color), the clip keeps it in place nice and tidy, and the mouthpiece fits just perfectly.I'm in love!

I bought this as a spare snorkel to take on our trip but ended up using it as my primary after taking it for a test run and really loving how it performed. I never had to blow to clear it after submerging. It pretty much cleared on its own. The valve on the bottom drains out the water and the ball in the top section held water out quite reliably when submerged, although water can leak in if you lean backward at the surface. Worked well even in waves near the barrier reef. At first I was skeptical about the hook, but it worked well for me, much preferable to having to thread the mask strap through it. Hard, clear plastic on top. Opaque, pliable plastic on the bottom section means it fits comfortably in your mouth with no torquing. This snorkel made snorkeling easier and more comfortable, so you can forget about your equipment and enjoy the view.

I used this snorkel twice for about 30 min each time. The clip holds onto the goggles securely, and it's easy to breathe through. The only problem is that the mouthpiece is rough on the roof of my mouth - so I'm not sure if I could use it for long periods of time.

I've only had a chance to use this a couple times, but I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the snorkel. Doesn't let water in, purges well and looks awesome!! Great deal for the money.

My son used this clear snorkel during two hours of snorkeling in Maui, and no water got into the snorkel. It fits comfortable in the mouth and the flexible part that connects the tube and the mouth piece helps the comfort.We have two Phantom Aquatics Dry Snorkels (my wife used the second one - Black and Red), both performed perfectly, and the quality seems to be top notch at least for our use. I used a rented regular snorkel and had ocean water enter my mouth on several occasions, and I wish I purchased and brought a third Phantom Aquatics Dry Snorkel on the trip.I would not recommend any other snorkel.

Absolutely love this snorkel. Took it on a 2 week snorkel vacation and never once ended up with water in my mouth. Mouthpiece is also very comfortable.
