Musher's Secret Dog Paw Wax: The Ultimate Protection for Your Dog's Paws
As a pet owner, the well-being of my dog is always a top priority, especially during our outdoor adventures. Whether it's hot pavements in the summer or icy paths in the winter, ensuring my dog's paws are protected is essential. That's where Musher's Secret Dog Paw Wax comes into play. After incorporating it into our routine, I've noticed a significant difference in my dog's paw health. Here’s why it’s become a staple in our home.Exceptional Protection in All Conditions: Musher's Secret Dog Paw Wax offers unparalleled protection against a wide range of environmental hazards. Originally developed for sled dogs, it's proven to be effective for any dog, providing a breathable barrier against hot pavements, sand, snow, and salt. Since using Musher's Secret, my dog can comfortably accompany me on all terrains without any paw discomfort.Natural and Safe Ingredients: Comprised of a blend of natural waxes and oils, Musher's Secret is non-toxic and safe for dogs. This aspect was crucial for me, as I'm cautious about the products I use on my pet. Knowing that it's made from food-grade ingredients gives me peace of mind, especially on occasions when my dog decides to lick his paws.Easy to Apply and Absorbs Quickly: The application process is straightforward and mess-free. A small amount of wax rubbed onto the paw pads before outings does the job. It absorbs quickly, leaving no greasy residue, which means my dog can roam freely around the house without leaving paw prints everywhere.Versatile Use Beyond Paw Protection: While its primary purpose is to protect paws, I've found Musher's Secret to be beneficial for my dog's nose and skin as well, especially in dry conditions. It's moisturizing properties have helped keep my dog's skin supple and free from cracks, adding another layer of value to the product.Long-lasting and Cost-effective: A little goes a long way with Musher's Secret Dog Paw Wax. The 60 g jar has lasted us several months, even with regular use. Considering its effectiveness and the amount needed for each application, it's an economical choice for ongoing paw care.Final Thoughts: Musher's Secret Dog Paw Wax is a product that delivers on its promises. It offers effective protection, is made from safe and natural ingredients, and is easy to apply. Seeing the difference it has made in my dog's comfort during our outdoor activities has made me a loyal user. For pet owners looking for a reliable solution to protect their furry friend's paws, Musher's Secret is undoubtedly worth considering.

No crusty elbows or dried out toes for Mr. Tucker!
My Rottweiler “came with” some Musher’s when I adopted him. And I continue to buy it! It works great and it’s easy to apply. I’ll either lather my hands and massage it into his toe pads, or I’ll just dip his clean paws right into the container (then massage it in). He’s had dry skin in a few places too, like his elbows. It has worked great for that too! It has prevented him from getting dry, crusty elbows! The texture is much like vaseline or carmex, so it’s not really going to rub-in entirely, but it’s going to moisturize the heck out of whatever you rub it on. And it’s not going to stain clothes or carpet, from my experience.

Great stuff and an answer to: what if my dog eats it?
First off, this product did a great job protecting my dogs paws from salt and gunk they put all over the sidewalks in my neighborhood this winter. While it was hard to get her to cooperate for application the first couple of times, she grew to tolerate it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, she liked the taste a little too much and treated herself to the rest of the container while I was at work one day. While I could find plenty of information ensuring me this was non-toxic and would pass, there wasn't much information about what passing would entail....if you find yourself in the same boat and are questioning "is this normal?" (or are just curious about what could happen) read on for our experience. Key Takeaway: Yes t is non-toxic, but do yourself a favor and store this somewhere where you are SURE your pup can't get it.I arrived home from work to find my 50lb lab mix waiting for me at the door (normal) with a desperate look in her eye and a weird collection of chunky yellow...something under her tail (obviously not normal). She gave a high pitch whine and I immediately dropped what I was holding and took her outside obviously concerned about whatever this gunk on her butt was. She dragged me to her favorite poop spot and proceeded to shoot (yes shoot) a clear-ish liquid substance out of her backside in a few spurts, followed by a huge output of liquid stool. It was a giant mess, and really obvious on top of the foot of snow on the ground. I told myself I should at least attempt to pick it up which is how i discovered that this liquid mass of poo had completely solidified (like those weird fake vomit puddles you can buy at a joke shop) - my sweet dog had unintentionally created her first poo candle. When I got back to the house and attempted to wipe away the yellow clumps still hanging under her tail I discovered that they a) smelled exactly like mushers secret and b) left quite a bit of waxy residue. Knowing her tendency of rifling through purses/backpacks to steal chapstick it was pretty clear what happened and sure enough I soon discovered the 60g container of mushers secret open and licked clean on the living room floor.I was able to verify that this product was non-toxic very quickly and was assured that it would pass safely, but no one mentioned the possibility that passing it would mean that wax would literally seep out of my dogs anus. She never had an accident in the house - the wax just literally passed right through her and collected in the surrounding fur. This kept happening over the next 48 hours - I would get a whiff of mushers secret and grab a wet towel to try to wipe it away before it solidified in her fur. This was obviously an imperfect process, and was accompanied by a lot of scooting and 2 highly un-enjoyable baths where I somehow managed to convince my bath hating pup that sitting and letting my scrub all the gunk away from the fur surrounding her anus was the only way to end her discomfort. After a couple days of this and a few more (less dramatic) candle poos the process was finally over. When the snow melted a week later I found the wax "tracks" of that first liquid expulsion laying on the ground, and some birds were grabbing pieces to reinforce their nests. Pup enjoyed watching them, and I enjoyed the comedy of the situation. I told her it was beautiful that she helped make a home, but to please never do that again.Note: My dog ate a small amount for her size (50 lbs ate the rest of our 60 g container), continued to eat and drink normally throughout the ordeal, and had a normal frequency of bowel movements. Please don't take this in lieu of veterinary advise particularly if your pooch is smaller/ate a larger amount/has a more severe reaction/you are extra worried/etc.TL:DR - The ingredients in this product are non-toxic, but be advised that it may pass right through your dog and seep out of their anus if they ingest too much.

Excellent for Indoor Pomeranian :)
I was skeptical. There's a lot of hokey pet products these days. But this stuff is awesome. My 10lb Pomeranian is an indoor dog, so being on cement or outdoors is "ruff" on his paws. He started getting callouses, dry pads, and minor cracks. One time to the point where he would walk around the house and all of a sudden jump/flinch and immediately drop to lick his paw pad. Upon inspection, he had a small crack.I got this and incorporated it into his bed routine. He's half asleep, so less inclined to lick it off. In a few days it was much better visibly, and also noticed be stopped flinching and licking his paw pad.I like that it's not toxic in case the dog licks it and smells like Vic's vapor rub for humans lol. This size works well for our dog and the thickness of the cream makes me feel like we're wasting product by going through it each time we use it.
