Pampers Swaddlers Diapers Newborn/Size 1

I've only ever tried three brands - Huggies, generic Kroger brand, and Pampers - but Pampers are my favorites so far. Pampers seem to be the perfect balance for an unusually long (she was in the 97th percentile when she was born and growing like crazy) and adventurous baby. I've been using this brand for the majority of her 9 months of life, with a few other brands I got at baby showers being used in between. I've almost never had leaks with Pampers, even when she sleeps in them over night. Now at 30.5" and 21 lbs, she's still in this style just a size bigger. I haven't needed to switch to cruisers even though she's been crawling and now cruising for 3 months. These just work too well.The Huggies weren't bad, they just didn't work well with my daughter's shape. They leaked a lot through the legs, but I'm willing to try them again with my next kid if the Pampers don't work. The Kroger brand was OK but don't have the absorbency of Huggies or Pampers and rarely lasted through naps or car trips without leaks. They didn't have wetness indicator stripe either, though with experience it's not hard to tell when your baby is wet. I had a ton of them from diaper cakes though, so I ended up using them when I knew we weren't going anywhere for a while.I've seen a lot of complaints about defects in the top reviews. I haven't ever had an issue quite like these folks have experienced. I had one set whose wetness indicators weren't working as well as others, but that was about it. Honestly even if I had a pack that was bad, it's pretty easy to return things via Amazon and you can't beat the discounted sets automatically showing up at your door. Just give yourself a little breathing room just in case and you'll be fine :)P.S. the Pampers Baby Dry 12 hour diapers are great for your kid to sleep in or take long road/plane trips in too :)

We loved these Pampers Swaddlers diapers when we had our first daughter 5 years ago and now that we have a new baby, these are the only diapers I'll buy. They are excellent quality, far superior to Huggies and Luvs. The Swaddlers are so soft and flare easily around the legs and the tabs stay put on the front of the diaper, so with both girls, we've never had a blowout or leaky diaper. These easily hold 8 hours worth of urine from the baby sleeping all night and don't even leak when she sleeps on her belly with her behind up. My favorite feature is the wetness indicator. The indicator is yellow and when the baby wets the diaper, it turns blue so no more constant checking around the leg holes to see if the baby wets, a simple glance at the front of the diaper is all that is necessary.Even though these diapers are more expensive than other brands, the quality is well worth it when you don't have to constantly wash baby clothes from blowouts.

Loved pampers for babies ..it wasn't until they were older when I switched to generic vrands

We just had our fifth baby boy. After every baby is born, my husband insists on using cheaper diapers, in hopes that doing so will save us money. But, every time, after I pull out the pampers swaddlers, he agrees that they are far superior and actually just as cost effective. Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers keep the baby so much dryer than other diapers (including Pampers Baby Dry, which are not as good as the Swaddlers and Cruisers). Other diapers we have tried (including big name brands as well as bulk store brands) get so full that the moisture seems to seep directly through the diaper if you don't change it immediately after the baby has wet the diaper. And, even if it doesn't seep through, our babies seem to get diaper rash from being too wet if we don't change it immediately. Pampers Swaddlers keep the baby SO much dryer that we don't have to change the diapers so often and, therefore, use fewer diapers, saving more money and time. It's so frustrating to have to change a sleeping baby just because they are wet. With Swaddlers, we don't have to risk waking the baby because we know the diaper will keep them dry until they wake on their own. Swaddlers also don't seem to get as bulky as other brands and they seem softer than many others. I far prefer Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers over all the other diapers I have tried (and there are alot we have tried with our five kids).

After ordering this product I got caught up in reading the reviews left by others who had also ordered it. MANY customers complained that the diapers were "fake" and not similar to what they had bought in the store. A representative from Pampers responded to many of these buyers stating that the product had simply been upgraded and that some changes had been made, but they were in fact genuine Pampers. As an outsider looking in, I would like to verify that this is in fact TRUE! I would like to add that I gain nothing from writing this; more so just wanted to inform curious parents as myself.I have purchased two of these 216 count boxes from Amazon, opened them and discovered that they were the "older model"... (without the red markings that many have posted photos of). I also have purchased two boxes of the exact same diaper from my local Target and what do you know, diapers with RED lines indicating that they are the newer, updated diaper! Many customers complained that the red lined diapers were fake and that amazon was selling fakes. Well, seeing how I bought the supposed "fakes" from my local Target, I think the myth is debunked! They are both good, legit diapers, regardless of whether or not they've been "upgraded".Personally, I am thrilled to have found such as amazing price and I am buying as many as I think we will use!
