Does this just glide when opening and closing even with minimal flicking/force or do u have to open/close sort of manually?

Minimal effort is required for opening and closing. They flick open and shut easily. They are beautiful.

I’d like to know why I never received this item please ?

I just open it up slightly and make sure it's opened all the way I have never tried to flick it open so can't say if it does or don't but a good fan anyway.

Silly question how do you open the fan?

Hi not a silly question at all. You hold the back and front in your hands and literally pull them in different directions. Really simple. Folds back together in the same way but opposite if that makes sense. This fan is beautiful by the way and well worth buying.

I need this fan for a prop! Will it open and shut by flicking it? Or does it need to manually opened - hope this makes sense! Thank you

Yes it will flick open and closed if held half way fown the end stick.
