Kidde 5CO Carbon Monoxide Alarm and Detector with AA Batteries - 10 Year Sensor Life CO Alarm for Home

Got these 2 items for myself and my family who live in separate places at my home and both have kitchen with boilers nearby. These items are medium-small and can be placed anywhere around the house where it is required and are robust and sturdy and have a good battery life making them last longer. Simple instructions are included. The alarm when toxic carbon monoxide is detected is very loud providing you ample warning and danger of this hidden poisonous gas. Also purchased at an reasonable price for 2 items. Does exactly as advertised and must buy. Better safe than sorry.

The big selling point for me was the 7-year warranty on top of the 10-year sensor life -- for less than £20 this seemed like a great deal when comparing it to the other options on Amazon.Everything you need to get this unit up and running is included in the box. In the package I received were 2 good quality Duracell AA batteries to power the alarm. Also in the box were 2 screws (with wall plugs) for fixing to a wall, a 22-page user guide (quick start on last page), and a rather handy instructional sticker to place somewhere for guidance on what safety steps to take if the alarm goes off.The unit feels sturdy and is compact enough to make it portable (even to take on holiday). It can be placed on any level surface - I have mine on a shelf not far from the central heating system. The front of the unit is very user-friendly with 3 LEDs showing power, fault, and alarm status. The test/reset button is a good size and feels positive when pushed to do the weekly test. Incidentally, the alarm is nice and loud!Overall, I think the Kidde K5CO Carbon Monoxide detector is a great buy and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something that is super-easy to set up.

Seems to be a well made carbon monoxide alarm. Easy to mount on the wall, the test button produces a loud audible alarm that should I ever need it I'll hear it. Feel safer with it around and the flashing red LED tells you its still working. Good value for money.

This is a third purchase of this item. The alarm comes with everything you need, even Duracell batteries, and installation is a five minute job.The instructions are very clear, and all I needed this time was the quick guide at the back.Having a well-known brand is reassuring, and I have also just ordered some Kidde smoke detectors - they even sell a combined smoke/CO detector which I'll try next time.CO is a silent odourless killer, so for this price it's just not worth taking the chance - please get one!

Manufacturer is well known for quality for these type of products. Delivery was fast. Installed and tested. Product performed per instruction.Disappointed product was packaged in a paper bag. Product box was crushed a little, but Product looked undamaged. Would have preferred it was packed in a cardboard box instead to protect Product during transit. For this reason only 4 stars.
