Skin So Smooth
this mask should be applied to clean dry skin. It is left on for 15-20 minutes then rinsed off. It contains bentonite, a clay that draws out impurities as well as kelp, grape, kiwi and honey extracts and aloe vera gel. I was initially concerned that it would be too drying for my skin. After all, bentonite is excellent for addressing blemishes and acne. Indeed the directions for this product suggest applying to blemishes and leaving on overnight. But I was pleasantly surprised. The bask is a pale greenish grey and dries quickly. While the mask was on I felt it tightening. It rinsed off easily and my skin felt smooth and looked refreshed. The mask has a minty almost medicinal fragrance: as if Peppermint Patty and Bengay had a child, this is what it would smell like. I like herbal fragrances so this one was pleasant and not overpowering. I am impressed with this line and will be adding this mask to my rotation.

Dries too quickly and dries out my skin
I don't like any masks that dry quickly on my skin. They're not supposed to. When they dry that quickly, they then just suck the moisture out of your face. I make my own masks with bentonite clay, and I always wash it off before it dries. This mask dries very quickly, like three minutes. And then you just have this tight feeling. You don't need a tight, dry mask to remove toxins.

Drying and hard to rinse off
I have a very oily face so I thought this would work well for me. It DOES dry up the oil and make your face feel smooth and "polished". But I also have rosacea and this stuff if HARD to rinse off. You need to use a washcloth and rub and rub to get it off--which irritates my face and makes it more red. Also, even though I put on heavy moisturizer after rinsing it off, I've felt "tight" and slightly irritated all day. Maybe I didn't actually get it all rinsed off. When I touch my face, I the skin does feel pleasantly soft and smooth though. So it's a toss up for me.When you put this on, you have to work quickly as it dries very quickly and becomes unspreadable. It smells very nice--lots of peppermint and it also feels very cool on your face, so good for hot Summer days.

Easy to Use/Pleasant Experience
The first thing I did with this LDR by Baysyx Mint Mask was to test it on the back of my hands. I know most skincare products these days don't cause allergic reactions, but years ago my mother tried a "beauty lotion" on her face that caused hideous welts that lasted a week and scared my baby brother. So I always pre-test. It worked out great on my hands so I was ready for my face! You don't need much product for coverage and it goes on very easily. It's a green the color that reminds me of the makeup used on Margaret Hamilton as Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz" - how fun that will be around Halloween with my grandgals?!It almost immediately dried and it was not at all uncomfortable. I set my stop-watch for 15 minutes and then hit the shower. It came of easily in the shower, I have not yet tried to get it off in the sink, but I will, because I did like the way it left my skin feeling. Do I look 20 years younger? Of course not, But it was a pleasant experience (the fragrance is subtle) and I will enjoy repeating it. From the looks of it there is plenty left for several more Mask treatments.

I'll keep using it, despite the redness it causes
I can't remember the last time my facial skin exhibited a visual adverse reaction to a skin product. So having a reaction to this mask comes as a surprise to me. And the fact that my skin does react with definite redness, (that lasts for several hours), makes me somewhat disconsolate. Because I really, really like the experience of this mask!It has a wonderful, potent, (but not too strong), smell of mint with a touch of rosemary. It goes on silky smooth, and because of that, it's easy to get a nice, thin layer. It's soft, with no grains. It tightens, it tingles slightly, and it dries quickly. It is easy to see how nicely it tones the skin. Applied in the evening, It gives immediate results that last into the next morning.Yes, it is tenacious stuff, and a bear to remove. But, with a washcloth and some very gentle strokes, it removes easily. (It helps to be in the shower when you go to wash and gently rub it off.)Interesting to note: This company claims their products are fragrance free. Well, that is just not the case with this mask. I just mention that for clarity, in case you were confused by the contradiction.More on the reaction: Wherever I apply this mask, it leaves a red mark or welt--deeper red than a slap mark, but no swelling. Seeing that redness all over my face the first time I used this (all over my face), I decided to test it: I put a swipe of the mask on my forehead and let it dry. Washed it off, and there was an identical swipe of redness. It had totally disappeared in about 2 hours. Maybe that's one of the reasons it's suggested to apply the mask at night? I don't see other reviewers mentioning a reaction to this mask. I'm not aware of an allergy to any of these ingredients.

Non-Irritating to Sensitive Skin; Wonderful Fragrance; Does Not Dry Skin ...
The light green color and the fresh, herbal scent of "LDR by Baysyx - Glycolic AHA Mint Mask (1.7 Oz)" promise good things when you first open the jar. As you apply the mud to your clean face, you will notice a very intense tingling. Because the directions say to leave this on your skin for 15 - 20 minutes, I was afraid my skin might "burn". Nevertheless, I left the product on for the minimum 15 minutes. It made my skin feel tight as it dried and I was concerned that it would not only irritate my sensitive skin, but also dry it. When I removed it, using warm water as directed, I found my skin was soft and moisturized. There was absolutely no irritation. Definitely a wonderful mask.

not sure what to review
our container came opened and leaking. the smell was that of what i expect to be rotting/decomposing material. the container says "mint" but was definitely not. the container was nice looking, but will not be able to review as i have no idea what my wife would be getting herself into with it being opened for as long as it was.
