does this one come with the necklace like the .177 cal ?

On the pellet set end is a place to attach a lanyard, heavy string, thin nylon line, etc. Regardless I would not shot without either the .177 or .22 cal. GREAT ACCESSORY !

Since I'm so cheap, would I be able to use both .177 and .22 in this? Maybe shove hot lead in it's hole?

No. It's one or the other. Pretty decent product though. I thought it was worth it.
