Other tension rods don't allow curtains to slide nicely along the rod due to height difference between the two rods. Is this an issue here?

Like for any adjustable metal rod, there is a small piece of plastic that is beveled and creates a rather smooth transition between both rods. But if you have curtains with a really tight pocket, it could be an issue. The professional trick with adjustable curtain rods is to buy them and install them so you end up with an invisible connection. I always select a length that will allow me to have mostly the thicker rod exposed, while the smaller rod is hidden in one corner and always covered by the gathered curtain. I have even bought the longest rods, 2 of them, and connected them in the middle while hiding the connection with a center bracket. There is nothing that shouts more "amateur and cheap" curtains than when you see the connection between the smaller and the thicker rod. Good luck.

Has anyone seen rust or pitting on the rod if you have had for some time?

We have only had for two months, but is seems to be something that will hold up and not piit or rust. Only time will tell.

Very sturdy against my shower tile

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The brushed gold bronze color is amazing and perfect. Exactly what I needed for my doorless shower now I can hang a curtain rod easily. The spring is nice and tight unlike others that I’ve owned in the past it doesn’t fall and hold its place firmly between the tile.

nice quality, easy installation

I used these rods to hang off white linen curtains in my living room and bedroom in various sizes to accommodate unusual window sizes. Some I have had for almost four years and a new one I ordered recently. The quality is very good for the money and they are strong ,functional and the paint does not chip on the rod. The black I ordered is a matt finish ,not shiny ,which I like .Your walls may get marked up during the installation process but you can easily clean the marks off. I had to buy a different brand recently because of the size and it paled in comparison , it chipped immediately and was difficult to install.

Great Color and Easy to Install

Love the color! I was trying to find something that would match my Gold hardware but its hard to find items that arent a yellow gold or look super cheap. This item is absolutely perfect! Easy to install, beautiful color and seems to be very well made. If I have issues in the future I will update my review. But I am happy with the product and would purchase again and recomend. Works great

Not sure how much I can say about a tension rod, but ... works great. The ends screw on and off easily so the rod can be slid through the curtain tabs, and the tension is nice and strong. The rod is sturdy and substantial; doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. I chose this rod because the ends are very thin, and I wanted the curtain as close to the wall as possible. It is perfect for my purposes. Very happy with purchase.
