Did not hold up in dishwasher
Though I like the style and functionality of this flatware, the antique like finish at the top of the handle began to fade the first time I put it in the dishwasher. I contacted Amazon and received a 20% refund on the product.

POOR QUALITY...ALL BROKE IN HALF, IN WEEKS
Terrible! They don't survive the dishwasher. All broke in half in less than a month. POOR, POOR quality! Don't bother!

Looks pretty but falls apart
I cannot believe that I have only had this set of flatware for six months and the spoons and forks have broken in half.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!

As permanent as plastic cutlery should be
If I could do no stars I would. Granted, the set is pretty, and well priced. But like other reviewers have concurred, cheap as cheap can be. I bought two sets in April. One set arrived already with a broken piece- should have been a sign of things to come. Of the second set, I now have only 6 salad forks and 2 dinner forks left. If you try to eat anything requiring some pressure, like cutting a steak for example, the plastic simply breaks from the metal base. I am not sure it's worth fighting over the return 7 months later, but all I can say is if you buy it, consider it as permanent as, well, plastic cutlery.

Hampton Forge Argent Sophia flatware...Horrid!!!!
This is the absolutely worst cutlery I have ever bought. I returned them twice because the knives and forks break while eating even cutting a baked potato. Embarrassed me with company because they broke while my friends were eating with them.Would absolutely NOT recommend these. They are horrid! Very cheaply made.The first time I ordered them, within 2 weeks, 2 knives and 3 forks were broken. They replaced the entire set but the same thing started happening all over again. I have now returned them all.I will never buy these again.

They Break Easily...Do Not Buy These
I thought it was just me, but the flatware breaks off too easily. I was going to buy another set to make up for what I've lost, but reading these reviews, it sounds more like a "known issue" from the manufacturer.I never put these items in the dishwasher and was careful not to overload the spoons and forks...they need to re-engineer this product so that they don't break.Sigh...off to find another set of flatware that is sturdier.
