MAXRACING Short Truck Antenna Compatible with 2001-2022 Cooper/Carwash Safe/Aluminum Replacement Antenna

Needed a shorter antenna, cut down the factory installed unit or give the MaxRacing product a try. Has been installed for a few days and so far so good. Performed the basic test (SCAN SEEK PRESET AM), all OK. I have an old Kenwood heading with NAV HD and it seems it takes it second or two to lockin the HD signal but once in, a clear signal is received.Took less than two minutes to swap/install, a drop of Locktight firmly sets the hand tightened antenna. Put this a 2004 F150 and rarely take it through a car wash, should be fine...what could go wrong? 😎

If you’re looking to get rid of that long antenna so that you can go to the car washes and still keep all your range of radio on your truck or car, this is the best product you can buy. I actually get better signal with this antenna and I did with that long factory metal antenna.

Antenna is easy to install and looks great/is a good height. However, there is a noticeable loss in FM reception and quality. Still works in wide open areas, but loses reception quickly with minor interference (heavy trees, buildings, etc). Not a huge issue because I’m mainly listening to Sirius XM or my phone, but definitely worth noting.

Very modern upgrade for those who have the old school 2 foot wires. Signal for radio is perfect although I admit I literally never use the radio at any point like in 8 years used one time because my phone wasn’t with me, but wanted the visual Aesthetic of upgrading the antenna.

I bought this antenna because of the reviews. I thought it would be just as good as the antenna that came with my Ford Escape. Wrong! The antenna picks up local radio stations fine. However, my old original antenna was far superior and could pick radio stations 30 to 40 miles away easily. Now this thing struggles to pick up stations 20 miles away. Will be ordering original replacement from the Ford Company.

I bought an F150 Lightning earlier this week and the antennae stood out immediately. Not sure why they need that giant, worthless eyesore so I jumped online and found this replacement. After reading the reviews, I took a chance and am blown away. Works like a charm, is barely noticeable and makes a world of difference aesthetically. Highly recommended.
