At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

Good but.....
Look, I have bought Danner for years and only recently had to call them and complain about their boots. I bought a pair for work, I'm a cop. It came out of my pocket. I get free boots from work but their boots are so very bad. After wearing the boots for one month, the stitching on the top of the boot began coming apart. I called Danner and they refused to fix them. They said I didn't buy their "work brand" boots. I was using these boots at work and therefore I was ineligible to get them fixed. Changed my opinion of Danner forever.

Still not sure.....
So I wear a 10.5 in most boots and an 11 in Under Armor. I bought these in an 11 to be on the safe side. The boots are slightly tight across the width of my foot (both boots) just enough to be annoying after about 6 of my 12 hour shift. Also in the right boot there is for lack of a better description a small hump underneath the ball of my foot right behind the toe next to the big toe. Again, it takes a few hours to get annoying but when it does it gets to be uncomfortable enough where I will change boots. Since the width issue seems to be a small tolerance amount I am using stretchers in the boots for a few days to see if I can get the leather to loosen up and give me some relief. Considering what these cost I would have just returned them, but it took me several hours of wearing them to reveal how uncomfortable they had become and at that point they were "used". I will say this, if I cant get them to fit right, and maybe some inserts to alleviate the hump under the ball of my foot, I will never buy these boots again. Giving credit where it is due, they appear to be very solidly made.

These are Durable Boots
I purchased the size 10.5 D and the 11 D as these are the two sizes that fit me. The 11 was the correct one. Even though they are a D width they are comfortably snug. Thye took about 8 days to soften up and break in. I have worn them hiking in the mountains of Tennessee in snow, mud, and curd and they still look like they are new. I don't know what they treat the leather with but they got it right. And they are made in the USA!

Quality, and not as expensive as they seem at first glance
Usual made in the USA Danner quality. These boots are expensive, but I have been wearing my last set for nine years and they are still in good condition. I just need to resole them again so decided to get a new set and use my old set as a backup. Divide the cost of the boot by eight or nine years and you will see they are not expensive at all!Note, Danner does sell boots made in China now also, and I have had a set of those. They were good for a made in China boot, but nothing like the quality of the boots they make in Oregon.

Comfortable, professional, and rugged
These boots are comfortable, rugged, and look professional. I'm a paramedic and avid outdoorsman, so I am usually pretty picky when it comes to boots. For a long time I've been wearing 5.11 Tactical boots as duty wear, and although they are super comfortable, they only held up for about five months.I have been wearing these Danners both on the job and during outdoor activities for about a year now, and I can say that every penny spent on these boots was well invested. There was a weeklong break-in period where the boots felt stiff, but after several good shine applications and taking the time to break them in these boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They look great when I take them up to a parade gloss shine, and look very professional in the field. Because they are waterproof, they are more than rugged enough to handle my backcountry adventures (albeit a little on the heavy side for long backpacking trips). After a weekend in the mountains, a quick brush and shine brings them back to the professional look I need for work. I'm glad I won't have to say goodbye to them anytime soon since I can have them resoled.

GREAT POLICE MAN BOOTS!!!
So I’ve worn Danner for my whole career! I work an off duty job so I wanted another pair to have at home so I don’t have to keep taking my boots home. They are amazing boots! I prefer the “low top” boots. The OLNY thing I can recommend is that they are sized different than regular shoes. I wear a size 12 in regular shoes and I am a 11.5 in these. So if your not sure, maybe try them at a store.

Best not better.....#MAGA
I've been wearing Danner boots for about 16 years and have no complaints, none. They're not cheap and you get what you pay for. Most importantly the boots are made in USA by Americans. I currently own a pair of Danner Fort Lewis for colder weather.

Danner’s Reputation Continues to Prove Their the Best!
These boots are top notch! They fit perfectly and right of out of the box are comfortable. There will be some breakin period but as of now they far exceeded my expectations. One expectation was that they would be stiff. Not the case. The leather is very high quality but very flexible. I hope to have these for many many years!

Worth every single penny! Especially if you are hard on boots.
Absolutely amazing boots! I have several pairs of Danner boots (including 2 pairs of the taller version “Acadia”) and have trusted these boots since I began my career in the fire service over 20 years ago. Have tried several other types and kinds of duty boots through the years and have always come back to Danner’s. These 6” Patrol model boots are fabulous for spring, summer and fall weather (even here in Canada). They keep your feet dry and well supported for long hours and are super easy to clean, treat and keep up on. I highly recommend the danner boot paste to keep them in good order and help keep them soft and waterproof.A light coating of the Danner boot paste every week to two weeks will ensure these boots last for at least a couple years of hard use. And when I say he’s use, I seem to kill regular synthetic style boots in less than 6 months normally...

4 Stars and well worth it.
A bit tighter than expected. Could not use Danner insoles. Overall excellent performance once broken in.
