Fantastic RO Unit! Easy to install and amazing results!
This unit was purchased specifically for making clean water for Caridina shrimp. The value and quality were hard to beat in my opinion. The ease of filter cartridge changes is awesome! I was having an issue with me float valve and I reached out to their customer service team. They responded quickly and it was a simple fix that I completely overlooked in the instructions. Needless to say, I know that if I have questions or concerns, they are there and ready to help their customers. That goes a long way nowadays with internet shopping!Regarding water quality specifically, I have hard tap water from the city. It's loaded with TDS averaging above 300 and conductivity at 650+. After the initial flush of the filters, I was getting a solid ZERO on both parameters! I couldn't ask for anything better! The auto-shutoff solenoid is an awesome part that is included in with this unit. I'm able to fill my plastic tote with water and rest assured that the unit is not constantly running and wasting water. I would 100% recommend this unit to anyone, not just an aquarist, for their RO needs. Excellent product and value!

Love it!
I had the RO buddy & it became such a hassle. So many issues! This one however was super easy to set up, moves relatively quick & produces clear water that I can re mineralize. I’m very happy with it. It’s also easy to change the cartridges. It’s perfect for my aquariums. It’s definitely worth the price! I will update after I’ve used it for awhile.

Better than the units at $250
Fantastic. We run a fish breeding room for both shrimp / snails and fish and this RODI has been amazing. I've never spent less than $250 on one before over the last 17 years in this profession, but this is by far the best unit I've ever ran. 75 gallons a day, and the TDS meter is coming in appropriately. I wish I had been using these sooner! No leaks, float value works beautifully.

lowered TDS to under 3 as advertised
Great RO system, especially for the price. This kit comes with a little more stuff that most people might not need. I bought this mainly for fish and shrimp keeping but also for drinking water. The adapters did not fit my pull down kitchen sprayer/hose nor my bathroom sink, but it will fit a garden hose or a larger sink thread (I think my pull down hose is 3/8" and is much too small for the step down adapter from the garden hose size). I had a homemade stand that I installed it on.The main issue I have that makes it 4 stars and not 5: these connectors love to leak. I had to adjust them several times outside (while it was raining lol) to see if they would stop leaking. They would, but if they get moved slightly they can start leaking again, so when you set this up make sure you can see it won't leak when you turn it on (I had to keep going outside to the garden hose - I'll install a spigot on the side of the stand that I can connect to periodically I guess so I don't have to run around and turn it off). Once you get the tubes securely fastened and positioned how you need them to be so you don't move them much or at all when using the system, there are no leaks.Initial testing shows 1 or 2 ppm TDS if not 0 - those TDS meters are not perfect but it was moving around 0-3 ppm. Water tastes great. My city water pH is currently high at 8.4-8.8 (which is why I bought this). Tested pH was around 6.4-6.6!! 75 gallons per hour is a little over 3 gallons of RO water per hour. I'm using 5 gallon buckets for now until I get longer tubing or figure out a better solution - but if you're like me it takes about 20 minutes for the waste water to fill a 5 gallon bucket if you have a garden spigot on about a quarter turn. This equates to 15 gallons of waste water for every 3 gallons of RO water, so about a 5:1 ratio which is what I expected. My TDS overall is not that high (160 when testing the waste water), so I could use it for plants, just nothing that doesn't like high pH.tldr; works as advertised, install not that difficult but the tubing is sensitive and may leak and need adjustments but will work fine after making said adjustments. just have someone with you if you're not installing it in a location where you can turn the water on and off and see the unit at the same time!
