i was a bit disappointed, they looked really thick and heavy
When we received the vests (ordered a large and a medium), i was a bit disappointed, they looked really thick and heavy, I was worried it would actually end up making them more hot, rather than cool them. That ended up not being the case at all! I soaked them in water and wrung them out and our 2 Cavalier King Charles spaniels had no problem keeping up with us during hikes in Moab, UT in almost 90 degree weather. After a few hours they became dry and all I did was rewet them with bottled water we had with us anyway. Every now and then I would check how warm/cool it was under the coat by putting my hand between fur and coat and was surprised how cool it felt, even when it was almost dry!One word of caution: one time I accidentally dropped the soaking wet coat into a pile of red sand before getting it on my dog. That was not fun. Needless to say, neither the coat nor the dogs were to blame, I am just a klutz...after that I put them on indoors, just to be safe.Sizewize, the medium fit my 19 pound Cavalier perfectly, the large was a bit large for the larger, 29 pound Cavalier, but was not a problem. Both dogs realized fast how the coats would help them stay cool and had no problem standing still for me to put them on, but that will of course be different from dog to dog.Without these, especially the larger (and older) of my boys would not have been able to go on hikes with us, and I am very happy with our purchase!

Absolutely works!
We’ve only done two walks with it so far, but it’s already been fantastic. My Staffy hates heat above 75, and especially with the warm sun in LA, she’s been miserable on any walk during the day for the last few weeks. I was completely skeptical that this would help, it seemed thick and sounded sketchy, but it absolutely works. We just went on a 30 minute walk in 75 degree weather with a strong warm sun, which would normally involve lots of hiding in the shade and panting hard when we got home, but she stayed cool as a cumcumber. Her chest measured around 35 inches, and the XL size is snug but not too tight.

Keeps her cool even in direct sunlight
I own a 7 month old French Bulldog that weighs a little more than 15 pounds and I was very concerned with sizing when I ordered this, because I had just enough time to order and receive this before we left on an ocean fishing trip. I ordered the small and it fits her perfectly with room to grow. Love the fact that it has 2 zippers and the drawstring to tighten or loosen the fit on the dog. I’m not crazy however about the fact when you tighten the drawstring, the pup can get her foot caught in it. I’ve been knotting it back on itself to solve that problem. I love the fact the arm holes are large enough they don’t rub her considering how wide her frame is. But I don’t love how this vest will thoroughly wet anything it touches (my clothes when I lift or carry her with it on) but for the price it does it’s job and keeps her cool and not in danger of overheating.

Rottweiler tested and approved!
My Rottweiler becomes easily overheated in the Arizona sun. We purchased the SGODA Dog Cooling Vest to make it more comfortable for her to go on walks. The vest works quite well. We bring along a couple of bottles of water to recharge the vest when needed. Now she enjoys her walks on the warmer days.

Better than a Thunder Shirt Too!!! Great purchase.
This cool vest arrived in 1 day! Excellent quality. The main reason I purchased this vest for my Yorkie was because we have a Mercedes convertible. Up until now, we had issues with it being too hot for her in the summer. Our little girl would pant and found it was near impossible to keep her cool. I tried everything from ice bags to Mission scarves, until now! This did the trick, cool and calm, now she enjoys the ride and so can I. She is 10lbs with a 17” girth, so I sized up to small and even though somewhat loose, it is comfortable. Also, it solved another issue today. During a thunder storm, she began panting and pacing, as usual. Nothing calmed her down until I put on her Cool Vest! OMG she is calmed and resting comfortably. NOTE: I did not wet it this time. It still seemed cool to the touch. Who knew! I am so happy with this purchase. So much better than the Thunder shirt. I chose this one because of the reflective fabric AND the D rings/harness for her leash as well as her car seat attachment. All the way around, better than expected, well worth every cent. I would definitely purchase again. She is so comfortable!

Great for a dog that has Cushing’s :)
Perfect :) my Yorker has Cushing’s disease, and his body will sometimes become overworked, when he’s at rest, therefore increasing his body temp, which results with him panting. We bought the cooling vest to help with that. We wet th best, wring it out, and stick it in the fridge for when he starts panting. We then put his vest on him, and stick him in front of a soft breeze, and it cools him down and remedies the panting. He’ll even fall asleep with it on because it keeps him cool (not cold) as a cucumber. Best investment for a dog that has Cushings :)

Cooling vest great for French Bulldog
My French Bulldog Oskar loves to go on his daily outings at the park. We live in Texas, so we were having to go at 5:30 AM to avoid the heat. This cooling vest is fantastic! The only downside would be if your dog didn't like getting wet, as the best cools with water. This isn't an issue for my Oskar, as he loves water

Gave my dog open sores and bumps on his back, chest, and armpits!!
My dog developed sores after wearing this!! I’ve since washed it in near-boiling water but have not used it on him since. I’m afraid to! I don’t know what may have been in it, and even weeks later he still has bumps on his back, chest, and under his armpits where the vest was. He didn’t develop them anywhere else! It did keep him slightly cooler, but it certainly wasn’t worth him getting open sores and bumps of some type where the vest was. If you get one, sit it in boiling water to kill whatever is in it first! I won’t use it again unless the temps are above 95! Considering my Shih Tzu overheats easily that should tell you something!!
