Simple but VERY Effective
This is an excellent little oven. I bought this because I wanted to try to use my gas oven less. As I live on my own, it seems wasteful to put the oven on for a few chips or a small pie. Even though this mini oven is inexpensive and very basic, it is a highly effective cooking device. I air fried some sweet potato chips & they cooked perfectly in far less time than they would have in the gas oven. I used the oven setting to cook some part-baked bread and they came out fine, crusty on the outside, moist on the inside. So far everything I have tried has cooked perfectly and in less time than if I had used gas oven or grill. Having the heating elements top & bottom is really good as it helps ensure even cooking. I understand some of the negative comments but to use this little marvel effectively you have to change the way you cook, timings are different, placement of the item in the oven is important, top shelf for some things, bottom shelf for others. Letting it warm up properly in oven mode is also crucial. I am most impressed by the air fry mode, a method I had not tried before. If used properly this oven can prove quick and economical, especially if you want to cook small portions, as I do. My plan now is to ditch my gas cooker altogether, buy a Ninja oven as well & a hotplate. Between the two mini ovens, my microwave & the hotplate, I can do anything the hulking great gas oven did, only using less energy, in less time & taking up less space too.

A great little oven.
I bought an Abode 21L fan oven years ago and was delighted with it. Halved my electricity usage overnight. Unfortunately Abode no longer produce it and I have been months trying to find similar. Ordered ovens from Amazon which were listed as fan assisted when they had NO fan. All were sent back. Finally thought I would have to buy an air fryer but in researching I came across this little gem. Had trouble at first using the drip tray as it blocked the bottom heat and left things looking raw on the bottom. Abode used side heating elements. I have now found the answer. I discarded the drip tray and placed things on my own solid metal tray ( which fitted perfectly) but placed the tray low in the oven instead of in the middle. This is successful at browning the underneath of food without having to turn it. Last night I placed a large pork chop, frozen roast potatoes and sweet potato on the tray and cooked it altogether for about 20 minutes. perfect! I just hope this oven lasts as long as my Abode which was still usable when I discarded it but was burnt black from use. This model is much easier to clean. I generally only cook for myself but this will also do pizza or sufficient chips and burgers for my 2 grandchildren. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent mini oven. Easy to use and relatively cheap to run
Edit: I have reduced this to 4 stars as it is impossible to clean inside. It's still working perfectly but the inside is an absolute mess. Partly because it's too hard to get your hands in there and partly because the inside is not even close to being easy clean/wipe. Once stuff is on it, it's there for life!Had two halogen ovens over 6 years and not willing to buy another as they don't seem to last long despite being from two reputable brands. I also won't buy an air frier as they are nowhere near as versatile as halogen or mini ovens. Realistically, you can only cook one thing at a time in them whereas mini ovens/halogens can cook a full meal (as long as it's a meal for one or two smaller people!)It has an air frier setting, grill and standard oven/bake/roast. But essentially this is a standard convection oven in miniature form. I've used the air frier and oven setting and both are great. However, caution is needed with the air frier. I used it to cook some french fries for 10 minutes (less than the time stated on the recipe card) and it slightly burnt the edges on some of the more exposed little guys! So as other reviewers have stated, it's possible the temperature can be a bit off at times. It has heating elements top and bottom and 3 side rung levels you can put trays on depending on what setting you're using (baking/air frying/grilling). This version '26095' has an air frier setting whereas the apparently identical '26090' doesn't. I THINK that's the only difference. It comes with an air frying/mesh tray, a very small baking style tray and a rack/shelf for putting trays on and a crumb tray. The air fryer tray can be used to rest a standard tray of your own on so this means you could use two trays at once in the oven. However, as with most mini cooking devices I don't know how well a lower tray would cook if 'blocked' by a higher one. The baking tray was so small as to be almost useless so I tried the trays I already had...none of which quite fitted! Predictably. I ended up using the circular tray from my halogen which fitted perfectly. This is 11 inches diameter. So the biggest tray I think you'd get in this would be 12 inches across and 11.5 inches deep. I wouldn't do a pizza bigger than 10 inches across in it to protect the insides of the oven and not cause a mess.I couldn't get over how light it is. It's about 1/3 to 1/2 the weight of an equally sized microwave. The outside casing of the oven gets extremely hot during use so be aware of this when positioning it somewhere. Finally, a word on running costs - a very important feature given the world we are currently living in! I tested this against my standard kitchen oven and checked my smart meter. Obviously all ovens vary, however, this unit used about 1.5kw compared to my oven using 2.5kw. So a massive reduction. Also, the mini oven seemed to use this high energy only rarely through its cooking cycle. So it makes me think it must be very good at holding its temperature. For most of the cooking cycle, the energy use was negligible. So coupled with a slightly shorter run time to cook things, it's a very cost effective option. So overall I'm hugely happy. And you get 3 years warranty if you register the product within 28 days direct with RH on their website. Which is a huge feature...assuming they do honour it!!

Fantastic mini oven
I was thinking and dithering about buying this mini oven; saves energy but takes a little space. Finally, my normal oven broke down and the decision was made. ;-) It was quickly delivered by Amazon, nicely and carefully packed by a manufacturer. Once set it up (unpacked), it looks really smart on my kitchen worktop. This mini oven is a little star. It heats up *very* quickly; my test run - garlic bread - was done in barely 5 minutes, virtually before my very own eyes. No time to go away, it is so quick. There are various settings: baking/roasting, grill, air-frying, toast; everything very clearly marked. I found that it takes less time than in the normal oven, and I lowered temperature in comparison to large oven. Bit of learning, as with any appliance. I am very happy with that mini oven, should have bought it earlier!Well done Russel Hobbs! Highly recommended item.
