Soft and well built!
I was worried about this model because someone said it made their hips hurt but I wanted to try it anyway and I am glad I did. It came nicely packaged, was easy to assemble and is nice looking and well built. I wish it was about 5 inches taller because it does release down a bit when you sit like most hydrolic chairs. I find I can sit on it in either direction comfortably so if it happens to bother my hips of a day I just spin it around. Over time I have gotten used to it and don't have any discomfort sitting for long periods. It is well padded and built to last. I am happy I gave it a try.

The most comfortable stool and great quality
This is probably the most comfortable and cool looking chair /stool I have ever had. It is also unique and fun to use and gives a great posture while sitting. I had at first ordered a different brand but did not like the material or the comfort of it and returned it. I bought this one instead and am extremely pleased - this has really great padding and comfort and also the quality of the leather on the seat looks good and strong. I got the first one for my art studio and liked it so much that I got a second one for my bar area. Definitely would recommend this to someone.

Comfortable chair, well built, reasonable price
This is a great chair. I had a similar one, because these saddle chairs are great for my back, but the seat was too hard to sit on for more than an hour. This one is much more comfortable. It is also easy to assemble, easy to adjust, and seems like it will last a long time. Could not be more pleased.

VERY POOR WARRANTY POLICY AND PRODUCT SUPPORT
Less than 10 months after receiving this stool it started randomly and suddenly sinking; sometimes an inch or two at a time, other times about 4 or 5 inches all at once. I tried putting up with it, but nearly got badly scalded when rolling less than two feet between the stove and the colander in the sink. When I contacted customer support, they agreed that I was was eligible for warranty part replacement of the hydraulic cylinder and the necessary steps to make a claim. At no time during this initial contact was I advised that I was responsible for the shipping cost for the replacement of their defective part. After going through the claim process (via email) I was told (by return email) the part would be shipped to me once I paid the linked invoice for the $25 shipping fee. When I protested this exorbitant and unfair extortion for their defective equipment, I was told oops I gave you the wrong price and now his new "offer" was $13. I protested again and was told that in their warranty policy it is stated that it is the responsibility of the customer to pay for shipping. Nowhere on Amazon was I able to locate the Master Massage/MHP International warranty policy. Now my choices are pay the shipping for the replacement of their defective, badly engineered part or pay another hundred some odd dollars for a new stool. I don't know about you, but if I knew last August, what I know now, I'd have kept on shopping and bought my stool from elsewhere.

Good quality but not for me
I bought the stool based on the 550 lbs weight capacity. Most stools handle about 300 and very few support 400+. Very easy to assemble. Seems to glide smoothly on hard surfaces. But if you have a big belly, this stool may not work for you. I fell off the first time: The front of the saddle is raised so when I sat down my belly pushed the stool out causing my butt to sit on the back edge which caused me to slip off the back of the seat. Even with me holding the stool in place, I felt unsteady/uncentered on the stool. So it’ll sit in the corner of the room and collect dust until I lose weight (decrease the size of my belly). Disappointed.

Best Stool
I owned a Facial Bar and used this stool there, and now I use it from home for my writing and my desk. Easy to assemble, relatively comfortable, and great for my back

Unstable. Overrated
I bought this stool with the thought it might also serve as a decent bass guitar stool. The stool is a go cart in disguise. It glides effortlessly in any direction; that's a problem if you expect/hope for the stool to remain in one place. It doesn't. The seat is well padded and comfortable, but warning: it's like mounting a horse saddle-it's quite wide and the "horn" is quite high. I can see this for the medical field and chiropractic as well. For a common stool, no. Unless you wish to zoom around a room. The manufacturer should have added even simple, tab-down brake stops on a few wheels. If you want to remain in place, I find it does not, just when you relax a bit. Lean a bit either way (it doesn't tip; you do) and you can easily get thrown from the horse. I don't find it a stool that will stay in place for long. It's comfortable, well made. The hydraulic lift/drop works perfectly, as described. It came in 3 pieces and I had it together in minutes (the directions are easy to follow. I'm attempting to locate some wheels with simple brakes and swap them in. Otherwise, I may end up with this next may at "Indy". Can't give this stool high marks, other than the craftsmanship. Functionality is puzzling. It's not a guitar stool.
