Seachem is the only company I use for my fish aquarium after trying most all other well known great well established companies who make similar products for me and many others I have met in the 3 years in this aquarium hobbyist Seachem without any doubt in my mind 💯% makes the best products!I kmow this review is for Seachem Purigen which is 💯% another amazing product offered by Seachem I want to help other avoid the HELL I went through.For example my aquariums water parameters consistently were changing with other products. Seachem is the only product that never changed me Water Parameters always keeping them at a safe consistency which is very important!My tank was cloudy no matter that I was doing all the proper maintenance that ALL must always do proper water changes, filter cleanings/replacement if needed, etc.NOTE: I KNOW THIS REVIEW IS FOR PURIGEN HOWEVER, I AM HOPING TO HELP OTHERS AVOID MAKING THE DISASTROUS MISTAKES I AND OTHERS MAKE. YOU CANNOT USE CHEMICALS THINKING YOU CAN HAVE A FISH AQUARIUM OF ANY SIZE AND AVOID DOING PROPER MAINTENANCE INCLUDING WATER CHANGES AND CLEANING.My aquarium was NOT enjoyable in fact it was worse than the worst most miserable job causing not only time and money anxiety, stress with zero enjoyment. You habe to kmow what you are doing in this hobby and find someone good to listen to. Too many influencers directing you wrong many are swayed by companies paying them to promote thier products. I have. I affiliatiom to Seachem I hope after this review the reach out to me because all I say is facts that helped me and will help you.So after getting a bigger tank for my tropical freshwater fish, (an overcrowded tank...too many fish is a disaster waiting to happen is NOT healthy for you or the fish), and ornaments including various types of driftwood as drift wood is excellent for many aquarium species including one of my favorite fish Cory Catish and Pleco. The Driftwood jas Tannins great for these fish species however, it made my tank even more cloudy even after boiling the driftwood prior per instructions.I APOLOGIZE THIS IS LONG OFF TOPIC REVIEW HOWEVER, IT IS IMPORTANT BEFORE MENTIONING THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW ABOUT SEACHEM PURIGEN IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT I WANT TI HELP YOU NOT MAKES MISTAKES I AND MANY DO BECAUSE YOU SHOULD NOT USE CHEMICALS IN THIS HOBBY TO TRY TO REPLACE WATER CHANGES, MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, ETC. YOU CANNOT REPLACE PROPER MAINTENANCE WITH CHEMICALS!I bought a "Python" Aquarium Vacuum on Amazon.com which if you search you will see many different manufacturers of similar aquarium vacuums! The "Python" many aquarium stores use as thier go ti cleaning vacuum. The "Python Aquarium Vacuum" is the best!So after cleeaning my tank I used Seachem Prime for my water conditioner and Seachem Stability as for large water changes I feel it helps to avoid "NEW tank syndrome" I also bought one packet containing Seachem Purigen.I followed the simple directions on the Seachem Purigen I placed it in my filter and let it run. It took longer than directions said so I went sleep and the next morning I woke up to my aquarium having Crystal Clear Water my fish were all thriving I honestly thought Inwas dreaming as for 3 + years I trued ti get my tank clear abd fish thriving.This Purigen made by Seachem along with proper maintenance 💯% works!!!Seachem Purigen definitely removed the clouiness the "Tannins" from the multiple pieces of various driftwood were causing.I took the time writing this too long rambling message because Purigen by Seachem 💯% works as my fish tank is crystal clear which I never thought I would ever see my fish 🐟 aquarium literally crystal clear! As well my fish thriving and for the 1st time I was able to relax and enjoy my beautiful fish and aquarium!Thank you Seachem for having the best products and Amazon.com for selling it at a reasonable price making me and my fish relax be happy and enjoy the fish aquarium!I know I went off topic but my intention is I truly hope my long message/review helps others have the amazing experience that took me almost over 3 years, lots of $$$, agony, 🪣 buckets spilled water, etc+++++++ to see 👀 the beauty of MY thriving fish and aquarium!🐟🙏🏻😊

This little bag works wonders for my aquarium. It keeps my levels of ammonia nitrites and nitrates down, as well as my water crystal clear. It lasts quite awhile in my 75 gallon cichlid tank.Be careful when recharging and follow the instructions to a tee.

My 300-gallon tank turned into a giant pot of manzanita coffee thanks to some gorgeous but tannin-heavy driftwood. The water was so dark I could barely see the fish unless they were right up against the glass. I knew the tannins weren’t harmful, but I wanted my water clear again without spending a fortune on expensive RO water changes.So I started looking for solutions and came across Seachem Purigen. Given how bad the water quality had gotten, I added triple the recommended amount to my sump filter. Within just a few hours, I noticed a small but noticeable difference—way more effective than swapping out my sump socks multiple times. Every day after that, the water kept improving and getting clearer. Now, a week later, the tank is just about clear. I’ll be refreshing my Purigen later this week and hope the fresh batch makes things pristine.What was once murky brown is now mostly clean with fully restored visibility. I can see my fish from across the room again instead of squinting at the glass. Purigen lived up to the hype for me—it seriously saved my tank without the hassle or expense of constant water changes.I’ll definitely be using this all the time moving forward. The fact that it’s reusable and refreshes makes the expense totally worth it. Huge thanks to Seachem—Purigen is a game changer!

This company has excellent products, many of which I use. This media may seem pricey but it's reuseable and does work well. I was introduced to it by a fish supplier that uses it in fish shipment bags and it seems to greatly reduce DOA as it absorbs the ammonia. Keep water clean.

What price will you pay to see your fish clearly? Had a tank that would NOT clear up. 35 years of keeping & breeding fish, and this one new tank just would not clear up after cycling. Never... 4 months so I tried Purigen as a last resort, WhaLa!! 3 days later, clearer water,7 days & I could see straight thru to the back and from the sides, all their beautiful colors. My fish were always happy, I wasn't, and my perimeters always checked out good, never lost any fish... This is a magic bullet though I understand all the things that can go wrong in a tank. Try it , you'll love it.

This product really works and it’s a must to get that extra level clear water in your aquarium. The package is just a small white pouch that appears to be some sort of beads inside it. Make sure you wash it real good before adding it to your filtration system and make sure it’s after your main filters. It should be the last thing your water passes through. You might want to also order water test kits to make sure your tank is cycling correctly before adding this filter. All in all it’s a great product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s expensive for 1 small pouch that you have to replace monthly. Some say you can regen it but it comes with a risk. It does make the water incredibly clear. This was on a small 10 gallon tank. Photo attached below

This stuff has been magic for 20 years. I use it in every one of my tanks and highly recommend it. Good value for the money in this bulk pack. Just bought some small filter bags and loaded them up. Fish stay health and water flow is not affected at all. Keeps your water quality sparkly!
