Though I wish I could’ve bought the model without all of the accessories/bags since I’m using this to make yogurt—I still love this model SO much. It’s SO quiet, easy to set up, and very accurate temperature control. I bought because it was highly recommended by Americas Test kitchen.My only qualm is that the finishing beep is super quiet and I never hear it so I end up setting a separate timer.

If you want perfect food this is a wise purchase.

I was reluctant to try Sous Vide, but I had a couple of recipes that called for an exact temperature for a certain amount of time. Stovetop, oven, or grill cannot accomplish this. I didn't want to spend a lot to try out Sous Vide. This package includes bags and a suction pump. I would like this Sous Vide cooker to be skinnier and take up less space in the pot. The octagonal shape seems to work well at circulating the warmed water evenly. The temperature is accurate measured by my thermometers. I wish that it was easier to clean. To clean, you have to remove and screw and then remove the cover. This is a nitpick but if it didn't have the screw feature, I would clean it more often.I had some difficulty figuring out how to turn it on and set the temperature and time, but easily figured it out by reading the instructions. I was surprised how quickly the water bath heated. I filled the pot with hot water and it was already above my desired temperature, so I started cooking steaks right away. The steaks did come out perfectly. I considered myself steak grill master extraordinaire using stovetop grills, oven grills, stovetop grill with oven bake, backyard barbecue grill, and backyard smoker grill. None of previous methods holds a candle with Sous Vide plus stovetop grill or Sous Vide plus oven grill.

Works good no problems at all

I tell everyone to buy this thing! It comes with everything that you'll need to begin and it is so easy and fun!I bought one for each of my adult daughters, and I think they're afraid of it! Don't be, just be ready to eat the most tender filet you could ever make! And I have yet to brown anything after.... It cooks so well, and the stuff is so tender, that I have to just dig in! I use mine very often and love the ease and honestly, the only thing I dislike is washing the plastic bag! Because I'm reusing them over and over! LOVE this thing. Oh, and I cook in a Camco plastic container that I use to raise my bread dough too!

Very easy to set up and use! This was our first time using a sous vide appliance, you barely notice it running. We filled a large pot with water to the recommended level, placed the Yedi in the pot and set the temp and cooking time for our thick cut pork chops for 60 min. We had placed the chops, in one of the vacuum bags that were provided with the kit and seasoned them with fresh herbs and olive oil. The pork came our perfectly cooked! We finished them under the broiler for a few minutes and BAM! Tender, juicy and flavorful!

It mostly does what it needs to do but make sure your food is submerged else you risk food safety issues. My tests showed temps in the top 2 inches of water going as much as 5 degrees less than the set temp even with a cover.The bags don't seem to work at all based on the first test. Used the vacuum pump to make sure everything was good, and they seemed OK for a few minutes, but before the preheat even finished there was already air back in the bag. I just can't see them holding up while submerged.
