Why do you advertise for a lifetime guarantee but in the fine print you state that lifetime is only 5 years?

I have had my Calphalon non-stick pots and pans for almost 20 years and they are getting a little less non-stick over the years. They have always hand washed, never put in the dishwasher and protected. I was just looking at getting something newer but why would I spend $500 for something that would only be warranted for 5 years? And would those 5 years be based on daily usage? So If I only used them every 2 days, does that extend the warranty to 10 yeas?

will the handle on the lids fit over the pot handles of the pots to hang on a pot rack ?
