I was questioning if I should take a chance on aftermarket filters from an unknown vender. Let me say that these are a perfect fit for my Winix 5500-2 and there were no strange odors as others have reported. Besides everything being as good as the filters that came in the machine, this replacement charcoal filter has a SUBSTANTIALLY larger amount of charcoal in it. I was actually questioning how well the original was working because it wasn't doing the best job of removing odors. Well, I put the new one up next to the old one and you can see clear as day that there is probably 40% - 50% more charcoal in this aftermarket filter than the OEM that costs twice as much! Don't buy the OEM filter unless you want to pay double the price for 1/2 the product. See my pic and judge for yourself. This aftermarket filter is on the left, OEM is on the right.The HEPA filters seem to be identical, so no notable difference there.

We got our Air Purifiers years ago and haven't used them since we moved to our new house 3 years ago. These replacement filters are a fantastic alternative to the OEM versions for my air purifier. The True HEPA filters and activated carbon pre-filters fit perfectly and installed without any issues.
