It appeared to be a sturdy pan, but the grooves in the pan were almost nonexistant. No deep enough. Food would cook in grease.

The pans are a pleasure to cook in! They heat evenly, clean up great and look beautiful! I purchased a set a year ago and just bought the matching grill pan. These pans are good quality and durable. I only hand wash and have not used metal utensils, even though it says you can, I want these beautiful pans to last a long time.

I love this grill pan. I received one for Christmas several years back. It grills everything perfectly. My son came over one day and wanted to sear Kobe steaks. Well, he had the heat on too high and it damaged my pan! (So take note, the grill pan never needs high heat--medium heat and lower heat is best.) It was his first time using my pan. Anyway, I love this so much I had to get another one. I’m glad I found it on Amazon. I didn’t want to go out to the kitchen stores to shop for one. I kept the old one. You can still grill on it but it’s blackened a bit. My son can use it when he comes over and wants to cook again. Don’t want to have to buy a third one!

All our BALLARINI stuff has been the most non stick of any pans I have ever used and doesn't have the flaws of exposed rivets and uncoated edges.It does however have the same flaw as most of these in that the handle is allowed to get too hot and can melt a little near the pan. But unlike some other pans at least it has not smelled like burning plastic.The only complaint I have is that the ridges are too small. So it really doesn't do as much as it should to elevate items above any grease or singe nice ridge lines onto meat. So for that I took off a star.

I have been looking for new pans for a while. These came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The pan heats evenly and cooks great and nothing stuck to the pan even without Adding oil, butter or spray.
