Rear sight set screws to short
The set screws for adjusting windage and holding the rear sight in, were to short, they do not extend below the dovetail plate. For a sight at this price, they should be able to atleast provide the correct mounting screws. If you are purchasing for springfield xds. Be advised the stock sights are press fit. In other words, they are not easily removed. DO NOT use a sight tool. It will not work, and will damage things. Per springfields tech people.Best to take to a gunsmith. If you really want to do it yourself. Get a can of air, for cleaning computers, turn it upside down, then slowly release air, until you get drops of ice cold water. Drop those drops on the rear sight untill it is frosted over, then wack it with a hammer and a punch, once lose will mover easier. Have slide held in vise with wood or heavy cloth to protect slide.Like in my case, the front sight can be impossible to remove with the above instructions. Carefully saw with a hack saw, in the middle across the whole sight, about half way to 2/3 of the way, then pinch with pliers and front sight will easily be removed.Follow instructions for installation. Do not use loctite 609 for front sight, use locticte 620, as 609 is only good to 150 degrees, while 620 is for high temp. If you fire two to three magazines in a rapidly, the heat can defeat 609.DO NOT, use a sight tool to install front or rear sight. Carefully file until they fit. Rear needs to move, as the set screws that allow for windage adjustment, will hold the site. Front needs to be held with loctite 620. Front sight can be snug, if you get it centered, it will not have to move again. As all sighting adjustements will be made via rear sight.Going to email Meprolight and advise them they are selling the sights with incorrect set screws in the rear sight.

It's just okay
It is bright, and easy to see.The material it is made of is not so great, the front sight dove tail broke while installing it.Because I needed it in the next few days for qualifying, I just glued it together.

Nice night sights.
I put the true-dot sights on my XD-40 Sub-Compact The manufactures says this site is for barrels shorter then 4" What I don't understand is why do I need elevation adjustable sights on such a small barreled gun?For me, fixed sights like the ones designed for the 4" & 5" barreled pistol would be fine (and are about half the cost!!). Once windage is zeroed then it is just a matter of finding point of impact compared to point of aim at self defense distances.Maybe i'm missing something but I think I would have been better off buying the cheaper fixed sights. As far as construction & the brightness at low light, this site will perform well.

Money wasted.
It broke upon installation with a sight pusher. I can't use it. Money wasted.

Sights are NOT green as pictured.
This item is pictured with green dots, however they are not. They are like an off white color and dull and is very hard to see during the daylight hours.

VERY NICE
These are very expensive but you paying for the fact you can dial these in for exactly how you want to shoot. I mounted them on a Springfield XDS 45 (overkill i know:)) they are a huge improvement over the fiber optic sight that was stock. I had them installed by a local gun smith for $30.00. I am now able to put two bullets through the same hole at 7yds and have a nice grouping at 25. If you are looking for top of the line night sights these are the way to go.
