This box of bulk cuttlebone was a little more per pound than other vendors, but I couldn't find another vendor that said they would provide 8 inch cuttlebone. The others either said 6 to 8 inches or 4 to 6 inches.I was really impressed when I opened the box. Each one was really 8 inches, bright white, and carefully packed so that none were broken. It was just like the picture on Amazon! It is really was worth the price.In the past I have ordered cuttlebone on line from other vendors, and the product was gray, in various sizes, and many were broken. I would give this product six stars if that were an option.

The media could not be loaded. Love these 2nd time getting them sometimes they send bigger ones than listed on the description which I am okay with. I use these for my birds and tortoise. They are the real natural cuttle bone not that fake calcium block type. Wears down beaks and priced calcium of both birds ant tortoise to maintain healthy shape which is what I get them.Video/photo is my from pet page on IG from today when I threw those out for them

I’m not sure why there was even a metal shoved through the bone to begin with but there is and it is extremely rusty and left rust marks along the inside of the bone where it was shoved through. When I was getting it out the bone shattered; the other bone had no metal inside of it but was shattered inside of the package. I think they are old, the one with the rust is definitely old because it’s literally RUSTY. The texture is also off not that of what the bone should be and I don’t think the nutrients are correct because it smells weird too but that may also be because of the rust. I’d like to know why the hell there was even a piece of metal shoved through the inside of the bone to begin with let along a fricking rusty one. Ridiculous. Wtf

It's smaller than the usual cuttlebones we get for our cockatiels. There were a few cuttlebones that were broken but it was packaged nicely with a buble wrap and in a box. It's good. We'll buy again.

Simple cuttlebone - no broken pieces. I use it in my aquarium tank to help my snail's shell health. I've noticed no changes to tank parameters or any ill effects from ingestion.

Since I didn't know cuttle bones came in different sizes and I was used to the big size I was amazed these were so small. My mistake. They were not whole was my real problem. They seem fine as long as your prepared for the size and not being whole. I prefer the larger ones.

The media could not be loaded. These work great for my snails. I just boiled them until they stopped floating and broke them in half to distribute in my two tanks. I have 2 mystery snails in each tank and the snails are always nibbling on them- my bettas don’t seem to mind having them in the tank either. These are far more cost effective and seem to work better than the Wonder Shells. Great value for the price!
