Did not hold up to use - but driftsun replaced it
Original review: Do not buy this. I really enjoyed it while it lasted, but the hammock ripped apart at the seams after less than 6 months. I am 160 pounds, so weight should not have been the issue. I think it's just poor constructionEdited review: I contacted Driftsun to try to purchase a replacement hammock for the frame. They actually ended up sending me the replacement free of charge!! I still question whether this will hold up in the long run, but i am very pleased with their customer service and honestly really love my hammock. Very convenient and comfy

Relaxing in Myrtle Beach!!!
I am very happy with this hammock. I find it very comfortable to rest in. My dachshund/chihuahua even jumps up and lays down with me. Great for drying off after getting out of pool. I find it comfortable both on my back and laying on my stomach. Adjustable canopy great for keeping the sun diffused so as not to get a sunburn.I am a older - short woman with a bad back. But, I even though I found it a little heavy to move in the carry bag (only due to a back injury) - once set up it is easy to move into the place I wanted it in my backyard.Very easy setup. Instructions were included and until it stretches a bit you should use the "S" hooks like it says.I read a couple of the reviews for this where people complained about attaching the canopy without a second person - I found it very simple. All you have to do is to place the middle bar in first then attach it to the base attachment and then insert the side bars and attach. If you do it this way your canopy is on within 5 minutes.I find it easy to get into and out of - just place your feet inside the base bars on either side and then there is little to no problem getting in and out of it.As to one persons complaint of not stable when in it - again if you place yourself in the middle it (as with any hammock) you will not have a problem.

Cheaply Constructed
Normally I dont write reviews but this time I have to. I purchased this item for my wife roughly a year and a half ago. We use it occasionaly but dont over use. Love the concert and is comfortable. However the quality is not up to par. The rings that are used to hold mat to the frame are CHEAPLY made and will come apart. Emailed the manufacturer and was told that the warranty is only good for 12 months and they cant help. I could understand if it was used constantly and much older than a yr and a half and wasnt a quality defect. Save your money.

Portable but not very comfortable
Definitely a great hammock for camping and other places where you want to carry one in a bag and set it up in about 5 minutes. The downside is that it is NOT comfortable at all and slightly difficult to get on and off. My kids fell off twice and older adults may have a more difficult time trying to get on.The bright orange also attracted a lot of bees and wasps while we were at our campsite. I would have preferred a dark gray or hunter green. The material is fairly rugged and the instruction manual is pretty good at explaining how to set it up. It can require a lot of strength to install the bars the first time until they "break in" a little. I believe the instructions warn that.Otherwise it is a pretty good, portable hammock that will satisfy the needs of most people if they don't expect to lie down in it very long since the comfort level is not the greatest. I prefer our soft, mesh hammock that cost $15 but of course that requires two trees that perfectly suitable for hammock hanging -- something that is hard to find in most campsites.

Great lounger, if you keep it inside.
I've owned this hammock for almost two months. It has faded, a lot. The hammock material has ripped laterally on one end. It's heavy too.

Sturdy
Could be a bit easier to set up (particularly the shade canopy), but it's very sturdy and comfortable.

... two of these for a beach trip and we loved them. Setup was easy with two people
I bought two of these for a beach trip and we loved them. Setup was easy with two people. Almost impossible with one person in the wind. When you were sitting in it, the wind wasn't a problem, but beach wind was too much to walk away from it. It's super comfortable to lie in. The sun shield works great. It is our new favorite beach seat. We brought it on the airplane too and checked it as luggage. We've done that with chairs for years.Driftsun seriously needs to contact me. We had it at Folly Beach SC and then an island of the coast of SC for a week. I should have brought a dozen of these. I would have sold them all. I had countless people come up to me while relaxing and ask where we got them, how much they were, and how cool they were. I seriously directed 20+ people to get on Amazon and buy one. Driftsun owes me as my normal sales/marketing fees are $$. Thanks, we love our new 'beach chairs'.

Very easy to assemble
Very easy to assemble! Even though it is quite heavy, once it is assembled it becomes very light for the wind to tip it over. Went to bed and next morning it was flipped over. Don't put near anything that can be tipped over if left out. I haven't put the canopy on yet. I've read that takes two people. Overall, very comfy!!!!
