Best out there
Expensive for what it is, but then it is the best one to use with a monopod. If you can justify the price then buy it.

Expensive - You get what you pay for :)
I saw a few people using the Wimberley MH-100 at our local nature reserve and looked so practical.Looking in to it, it was expensive, more than I wanted to spend. :(Anyway, I decided to get one, and my, I am so impressed. :)Is it just a coincidence that over the last couple of months I have had some of my best ever photos of birds in flight? I don't thinks so!It balances the lens perfectly (Canon RF 100-500).It is so easy to pan the camera with the MH-100.Easy to move around.Much more control than with a ball head or traditional pan & tilt head.More flexible than a full gamble. It is very well made, a little heavy, but solid.I am sure it will last for many years. Why did I not get one before?

It is the best monopod head for big lens
I have tried quite a few monopod (Gitzo 4552L) head including Really Right Stuff, Acratech, Sunwayfoto, etc. for my 800/5.6 lens, this one is the best. It is the easiest to control and most comfortable to carry around. Thanks Wimberley.

not good with heavy lenses
This is a nicely built bit of kit, but there is a design flaw. The Mono Gimbal Head mounts the lens and camera to the side. The bigger the lens the further the centre of gravity is from the monopod shaft. This causes the monopod to tilt to the side and means the monopod isn't taking all the weight of the camera and lens, which to some extent defeats the purpose.
