Shedding Bristles
Alerted by reading prior reviews criticizing the propensity of the brush to shed bristles, I repeatedly combed the brush before using it until it finally stopped shedding bristles. Quite a lot of bristles came out, but the brush still worked satisfactorily so I kept it.

Do not recommend
The brush is smaller than pictured but, most importantly, cheaply made. The wood was flimsy, and the bristles began falling out the first time it was used. I would not recommend this product.
