Is the cover washable? I see that I am supposed to wipe with a damp cloth, but my cover has become quite dusty.

Can I leave the printer on and ready to go with the cover on it?

I guess you could, as long as you leave the receiving tray uncovered. I don't know how hot the printer will get but other than those two concerns I don't see why you couldn't leave the cover on...
