I made a whoops on ordering this one for my type of carpet...mine is a tad too deep for this chair mat. The seller did make it clear, and I thought my carpet was low pile. Just so you know, low pile means something like Berber or something pretty thin and firm, with no padding. I can still report on the quality, which I like. It's a solid medium thickness chair mat. It's made for firm or thin carpeting; otherwise, a chair will sink slightly into the mat. NOTE: I deducted a star because the mat is not "ramped at the edges" as illustrated and noted in a few of the seller's pictures. It has the requisite plastic studs or points that dig into a carpet to keep the mat in place. I like the chair mat's clean, clear look. I hope my mistake helps you know if it's the right chair mat for your carpet.

I just moved into a place that has carpet in the bedrooms, my previous place had all wood floors. I didn't like rolling around in my chair on the carpet, it was difficult and would eventually ruin the carpet. I tried using a no-pile area rug but I could barely move the chair at all and the rug wouldn't stay in place. I wasn't sure this mat would work because the pile isn't exactly low, sort of medium and typical for a bedroom. But so far it is working, and I can move my chair easily, while the mat stays in place. I put the no-pile area rug on top of it, it looks nicer, but I'll see if it stays in place. You do need several heavy items to put on this mat when you first get it, it is tightly rolled and difficult to unroll. I put some free weights on the corners overnight and that worked to keep it flat.

Protects my floors without impeding my computer chair. Very sturdy and easy to clean. Perfect solution.

We just put in all new flooring, so I ordered this clear chair mat for my husband's office. It's the perfect size for his office. The mat is clear and a good thickness. Definitely seems like good quality. It laid down flat within a day or so. Looks great and will protect my new flooring.

I just got new LVT flooring and it probably can survive my desk chair but I figure I would get a protector anyway. Its been nice. It really is easy to clean and it lays out flat especially with the help of a hair dryer (warming it loosens the curls, it comes rolled up). The only negative is it "slips" a little on the flooring kinds spinning it counter clockwise. Its not a problem really, but if you are OCD watch out haha.
