HypafixDressing Retention Tape 2 Inch x 10 Yards - Pack of 2 Rolls, Original Version

I tried all the surgical tape brands at Walgreens and several brands from Wal-Mart. Some of the brands stuck really well, to well. My skin was a huge itchy rash from the tape adhering to strong. Other tape would stick pretty good to skin but wouldn't stick to itself.......then I discovered Hypafix....this stuff is amazing and sticks firmly to skin but pulls off when you pull it. Doesn't leave a residue. Sticks to itself well.......requires a good pair of scissors to cut but by far the best tape ever....I recommend the 2" wide tape it really is what you want to cover gauze and have enough to attach to skin. This is the brand used in many dermatology clinics, and I see why.

HYPAFIX did NOT bother my skin, and it is very BREATHABLE. it also sticks to WEEPING skin common with stony problems. I have skin folds that sweat and I use this product for tissue degradation and getting my ostomies to stay longer.I first apply calamine lotion on the very weepy areas, I let the Calamine dry for a brief time. ORIGINAL calamine lotion drys and absorbes weeping the best for me and and drys quickly. Although i have several retention product options , only the HYPAFIX tape adheres to the lotion , or yeast cream etc and still STICKS! Yet can also be removed easily. I am amazed at this since I used a McKesson tape that seemed to be identical, but I went into a "scratching scraping rage" with that, whereas - for whatever reason HYPAFIX did not make me scratch so badly.* Note to usage * use sharp szizzors from the paper side to cut. If you cut from the cloth side, it sticks to the szizzors. not a really big deal but annoying. ALSO: After it is cut, it is hard to get off the paper backing, BUT here is the fool proof trick. Place your finger or thumb on the TAPE side, on the OUTER EDGE of the tape strip and lightly pull your finger over the tape towards the middle. It will start to come off the backing and then you can easily apply. I start on the middle edge verses either end, but try what works best. ALSO it is 2 INCHES wide but is split - when you want that width to one inch. I use both for different sites. HYPAFIX also sticks to the cloth of an ostomy bag and skin simultaneously if you want it too. I certainly would try it. at $10 for 10 YARDS it is a great bargain and many home uses too. Picked this up after have a minor surgery. This is fantastic stuff. you can cut to any length. The seam for the backing runs longways for easy application. Sticks well even after pulling it off once or twice. Does NOT leave sticky residue on skin. I am not in the medical field but this is now standard in my 1st aid kits.

I'm a repeat customer. I love this stuff for my first aid kit. It treats and prevents blisters and hotspots, will hold a bandaid in place, prevents chafe, can be customized for any shape- knuckles, heels, knees. If you round the edges it will stay in place longer than duct tape. It allows the skin to breathe while still reducing friction and it's thinner and lighterweight than duct tape.

It is thinner than other tapes that I have tried. Has paper to peel off carefully. Sticks very good. Has to be cut to the size you want.

This has to be the best medical tape I've found for people that are sensitive to tapes on their skin and I've tried them all through the years!! I have a skin condition where I breakout in abcesses all the time and have to tape bandages. Most tapes immediately start breaking me out and sometimes rips my skin. My new doctor told me to try this and it's been a God send to me!! It's super easy to peel and stick. It sticks for as long as you leave it on your skin and I've left it for 2 days one time. My only complaint is I wish it came in a clear tape and different sizes since it's so wide.

This is item is gentle on the skin. I highly recommend this item.
