It’s a good buy!!
The latest purchase was one we gifted our daughter. Our own has been with us for over 2 years.... and going!!! It’s a great purchase and used fairly regularly. The only problem we have ever faced is with the food processor plunger. It is so invisible that if you unconsciously tilt the processor lid with it in it that it falls off. It’s happened a few times and the plunger, made of plastic, has cracked. Would we buy another one the next time? Definitely. It serves us for our Indian grinding and processing very well.

DO NOT BUY- broken twice
I purchased this blender in March, by the beginning of May a mechanism in the base broke off in the middle of use. I received a replacement from Cuisinart after 6 weeks only to have the exact same part break off 3 months later. It's been 6 months since my original purchase and 2 machines have broken. Do not purchase

LOW QUALITY - RETURNED / DO NOT BUY! NOT WORTH IT
This was low quality, small & not powerful. To make matters worse, it's been over 10 days since I returned and still NO REFUND. WARNING - DO NOT BUY! NOT WORTH IT.

Broke twice. I want a refund.
I loved the blender while it was actually working. But that was short lived. I bought it at the end of march and within that first few weeks, it broke. The gear in the base stripped underneath somehow, which I assumed was just an isolated incident. Sometimes products break.I emailed to get it replaced and they asked me to send the entire base back. Since I live on an island, I had to pay for shipping because I dont have the courier service for the return label. They said they would reimburse me shipping, which they didn't. I got a shipping notice at the end of August that it was on its way back.It JUST NOW BROKE AGAIN. The EXACT same way. I don't think they sent me a new one, I think they "fixed" the old base and returned it. Which obviously didn't work.So Now I have spent almost $200 on a blender that I was able to use for about two months.I am hoping to get my money refunded, because I need a new effing blender.

Pretty Good
Cuisinart is a trusted brand name and after researching multiple blenders, I ultimately settle on this for the brand name. After using this for a couple of weeks, I have two observations.1. There is one seal between the blades and container. Cleaning with a small amount of soap and 1/3 of a container of HOT water is an easy way to clean the container. Unfortunately, the gasket doesn't thoroughly clean. I found mold on the gasket after two uses. I would recommend purchasing additional gaskets.2. The instructions say to twist the blades clockwise to remove the blades. The same is true for the tops of the to cups. It actually appears to operate counter-clockwise. In reality the instructions are right but the actual application just "appears" incorrect. Once you do it right, according to the instructions, it does sort of make sense. The process is fairly straight forward and after two weeks of use, I am generally pleased with the purchase.
