I am so shocked. I've known about LIFX but I had no idea their lights are on a completely different level than other smart lights. I first got a bulb from them and was shocked at how vibrant the colors are. I've had Phillips hue lightbulbs for years, and these completely blow those out of the water. Not even to mention that they don't need a hub they just connect to Wi-Fi. I've never had any connection issues with any of these products and this light strip is no exception. The color reproduction is wild and the app is really well designed. It comes with a bunch of built-in scenes that are actually really pretty and not just techy. They have different themes like artist series, football teams, and sunsets. if you were looking for any smart lights, I would definitely suggest looking at LIFX.

Despite lots of complaints on connectivity and durability issues, mine works as expected. Lights are very vibrant and beautiful. This Lifx strip makes my Govee & Secretlab Magrgb strips look significantly inferior.Small tips - I used 3M velcro adhesive to hold the connector behind my Secretlab desk. If I loose adhesiveness on the strip I plan to use the 3M velcro adhesive in the future. I also have high end Asus router with separate 2.4ghz SSID for 20+ different brand IoT devices.

You probably bought this because you saw it has the highest color accuracy out of any smart light. How do I know? Because that's why I bought it.Do not buy this light. Even compared to bulbs by the same company, it has the worst WiFi reception of any smart device, or device reliant on WiFi at all, that I have ever used. My unit will not stay connected to the network for more than an hour, before suddenly turning off-then-on and disconnecting from my network completely, rendering it unable to be used until I set it up again or whenever it feels like working again.It has been 4 years since I bought this product. I don't know if it's any better, but judging from online testimonies, the problem still lingers. And yes, 4 years ago when I first bought this product, it had the same issues connecting to WiFi.Ignore what anyone says about color accuracy, that means nothing. Get a better brand that has better hardware and software. I didn't even get into the frustrating nature of the app, but just know, I've had smoother setup experiences with cheap 10 dollar lights from the dollar store.

The reason i don't give it 5/5 is that the app itself is not intuitive how to place the effects and colors to your scenes , also not being able to control each individual light or segment as you want from the app . By far the best strip in terms of brightness

Used these in a kitchen cabinet rebuild project. There were a few gnarly corners due to turns with overlap, but the adhesive stuck well and they have remained in place. Very happy with LIFX's interoperability with Google Home - no issues with automations. They have been in place for a year now without issue.

UPDATE:Last week (10/30/2022) there was a firmware update for the LIFX Lightstrip. I am happy to say that after installing this update, and several days of use, the lightstrip is working flawlessly. It is remaining fully connected at all times. It is responsive not just in the app, but also through HomeKit and Alexa. As this is working superbly, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5.I recently got this light strip to use as bias lighting in my home office. Set up was easy, and they connected well with both HomeKit and Alexa. After a couple of days, they stopped staying connected to my wifi. They are in the same room as the router. In order to use the lights, I need to reset them to reconnect them every single time I want to turn them on or off. I was very disappointed considering the price point and the quality of the strip itself. The lights are bright, and the colors are vibrant. Since I have this installed already, I may get a smart plug just to turn it on and off since the plug is in an odd place. Overall, mostly disappointed with what could be a great device.

The LEDs look nice and love them but it didn’t last for long, now they flicker random colors and one half of the strip stays on and the half off for a brief moment. Only owned them for 3 years. Contacted support directly I’ve done the troubleshooting they recommended to no avail. They basically said after “ you’re cooked”

Let me start by saying I have been using LIFX for small while now, and I love the company. Every light that I own in my apartment is from LIFX and they all function very great. This particular light I had installed around my desk for a streaming set up, and it looks better than I can describe. There are so many color zones to choose from and so many effects to put them on one of my particular strips went bad about a month ago and I said the warranty claim in and it took about two weeks for them to replace it no problem and now everything works perfectly, I fix particularly is a brand that gives you very vibrant colors and most brands can’t even compete with the brightness. If you get this desk strip, I can assure you, you will be satisfied
